Grapes of Wrath is one of my top 10 favorite books, post what you've done I'll grade it on substance...
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

Grapes of Wrath is a great book.

Steinbeck's genius is in his simplicity of writing style, also.

    - Animal Farm
    - Lord of the flies
    - The Giver
    - Death of a Salesmen
    - How to kill a mockingbird

That's how it is for most people, since those are the only books they ever read.....

Is that the one where Atticus Finch goes step-by-step on the process of offing mockingbirds?

Or is it the one where he deals double barreled payback to the turncoat mockingbird?

I hated all the books I read in school... I think the only one on that list I read was Animal Farm. I think I would have liked Animal House better.

Reading shit you didn't want to read just took way too much time.
