Owen Wilson's alleged suicide attempt over split from Kate Hudson
I don't think is was so much that Kate left him, it was more like who she left him for.
Owen Wilson allegedly attempted to commit suicide over his split from Kate Hudson.
The 'Wedding Crashers' star - who is currently recovering in hospital after he reportedly slashed his wrists and took a pill overdose - was said to be distraught when he saw pictures of his ex-girlfriend with her new man, Dax Shepherd.
Sources claim Owen then attempted to take his own life, with his elder brother finding him unconscious at Owen's Los Angeles home.
Witnesses said the 38-year-old actor was then wheeled out of the house on a stretcher with bandages on his wrists and taken to a nearby hospital.
David Perel, editor-in-chief of America's National Enquirer magazine, said, "Owen Wilson has now been transferred to another Los Angeles area hospital.
His elder brother Andrew and younger brother Luke are with him.
"Andrew found him after the suicide attempt and called an ambulance. Both of Owen's wrists were slashed superficially and Owen had taken an overdose of pills. He was found with a nearly empty bottle of pills next to him at his house."
The comic star also released a statement, saying, "I ask that the media allow me to receive care and heal in private during this difficult time."
Owen and Kate - who has a three-year-old son, Ryder, from her marriage to rocker Chris Robinson - split in June, after constantly arguing about Owen's wild behaviour.
Kate began dating 'Employee of the Month' star Shepherd in July and sources claim she is smitten with him.

I don't know how anyone could not like Owen. Women love the guy even though his.. um nose is not perfect. Why? He's a great charming actor with the most sincere and gracious smile Hollywood has ever seen, IMHO.

i first saw owen wilson in a weird movie where he talked to himself in a rambling annoying way. he annoyed me. several movies later and that had become his signature and i had become a fan. he's awesome. shanghai noon is one of our favorite moves. kate is as bad a dumbass ass her mother. she says "i don't care if my man cheats as long as i don't find out" then leaves the guy cuz of his wild ways. lying bitch.

All accounts of Owen is that he is a laid back friendly person who just likes to party and have a good time. I isn't a rude selfish fuck like 95% of actors in Hollywood are. I have never heard anything bad about him.

Kate Hudson is reportedly desperate to woo back old flame Owen Wilson after splitting from boyfriend Dax Shepard.
The actress is said to have realised that she is still in love with Owen after he attempted to take his own life in August.
A source said: "It was working out between her and Dax, but it's a clean break.
"After Owen's suicide attempt, she realised how much she loved him, and broke up with Dax."
Kate and Owen began dating last year after meeting on the set of You, Me and Dupree but the couple split in June following reports they clashed over his partying lifestyle.
Ironically, it has been claimed that it was seeing pictures of of Kate and Dax making out while shopping that tipped a heartbroken Owen over the edge and led to his failed suicide bid.
A case of too little, too late maybe?
