Child survives drop from second story

    News-Leader.com | Local News

A woman was in custody Saturday after she dropped a child she was baby-sitting from a second-story window, police said.

A teen playing football below caught the 2-year-old before it could hit the ground, and the child didn't appear to suffer injuries, said Springfield Police Sgt. Dan Schrader. Nonetheless, the child was taken to a local hospital to be examined for internal damage.
The incident took place around 2:30 p.m. at the John B. Hughes apartment complex at 2100 N. Clifton Ave., Schrader said. The 18-year-old suspect was taking care of four more children at the time, Schrader said. Police continued their investigation Saturday night.
But they failed to tell you that after catching the baby he celebrated like a pro NFL'er and spike the baby.
