I s'pose it could be worse.. i could be the parents of Madeliene Macaan , who are now considered as #1 suspects in their daughters dissapearence.. I'm not sure if you have this story running in the U.S, but it's been huge news over here in the U.K for over 3 months..?!

Maybe this will Make you happy

Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

well a little girl that lives in our building is having a terrible time with bullies. she's a really sweet kid but overweight. she's in 4th grade but my son, who's in 5th, goes to wait for the bus to his school at her school. i told him about the bullying last nite and he just went to their apt to offer to walk her n her little sister to school. his idea not mine. my kids are my chicken soup for the soul.

What percentage are single parent families now..??

Over here in the U.K, some schools will not advocate Fathers day due to the amount of kids that have no Dad.

I think it's around 16%. 85% are single moms and 15% are single fathers.....

Maybe me some and his older sister but I think he gets a lot of perspective and insight from reading too though. Tyler just turned 10 and has a very impressive reading list already from Tom Sawyer, Huck Finn, White Fang, Swiss Family Robinson, Robinson Crusoe, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Robin Hood, etc. I wish I had given more consideration as to whether or not their father would be a good role model before the fact or known that someone having a world of reasons to smarten up won't necessarily make them. Hind sight is 20/20 and you can't expect people to do what you would in their shoes. But you can remove harmful influences from your children's lives if you're really determined to.

yes since just after my son was born. i have no contact with their dad except for a few mother's day cards thanking me for being a good parent and making it so he doesn't have to worry about his kids. there are good things about their father but it got to be too much trouble sifting through the horse shit to find them. my kids are free to make up their own minds about him. my only concern there being he will end up leaning on them rather than being a force they can depend on in any way. i have very smart kids though.

no. i have a bf but he lives in montreal, we've talked for nearly 3 years and will finally meet in early dec. even then there are no plans to be living together right away or anything but he has taken an interset in my kids and has been a factor in their lives too all this time. when i was a kid my mom associated with women that had kids from different men. i was appalled. maybe that's part of it but i was never comfortable with the idea of other men in their lives or mine. as an adult i see nothing wrong with remarrying, finding another relationship after a divorce etc but no kid needs a mom that sleeps around. mentally i see nothing wrong with my having a social life or sexual one and i did have 1 very brief relationship several years ago but emotionally i guess i believe different things.
