Isn't he just reaffirming the notion put out by people saying the IQ test is culturally biased? Did he even mention genetics?

So, when Al Sharpton says the tests are culturally biased because the questions are unfair to black people (ie., the questions being asked are not representative of the kinds of things black people would know, ie., it is a different form of intelligence), it is fine. A white person saying the same thing without using the terminology a moron would use is racist...I guess that sounds about right. Or, maybe some black people didn't understand it.

And that's how the racism is done in the US. It's only racist if you're white.

You know, if white men stopped acting like sociately whipped underdogs, they wouldn't be treated as such...

I'm trying very hard not to hate blacks by default, but shit like NAACP, BET, Affirmative Action make it difficult.

See, I've been doing a lot of thinking on this subject. I actually don't hate any group of people because I'm starting to understand the cause of my frustration with them.

In a nutshell, I think that it was the violently socially imposed empowerment of women and minorities in the 60's that caused the white men to basically lose sight of who they really are. It's basically social conditioning by activist groups, and feministis that really defined our relationships with various groups and women. You can't really blame the white men for acting the way they do, because as a whole, we've been left extremely confused. Basically, the society tells us that it's not ok to be who we are.

Also, the dislike you're experiencing is actually just a reaction to the stereotype that you somehow have to value and accept. What makes you dislike black people is their role models (read; gangbangers ala 50cents, 2packs, etcs)...THe society and the media glorifies them and in your heart you know that's not right. They're not role models, they're trash. So basically, I think that's what's causing discord in you.

See, like literaly overnight it's somehow became okay and socially encouraged to be, yellow, black, gay, lesbian, gangbanger, stripper, porn star, dominatrix, prostitute, escort service, gogo dancer, pole dancer, drug addict, ....this is what the media glorifies.


...but it's not okay to be a (white) man? I know for a fact that this is what really bothers you guys. This is why I don't play the social game. I just treat all people with respect now, and it works great. Plus, I'm finally able to see through to who they really are w/o any socially imposed stereotypes getting in the way.

You're in canada, it's very different there. You go 100 miles south to upstate NY you'll see a radical change in the social dynamics.

We have the same issues. Just our population base, doesn't glorify it the same way.

I lived in Sudbury for a while. Of course as a nation you'r'e going to have issues, but in general, as a whole, the people are different and the mindset is diffferent. Canadians are a far more natural (they hold less back) in their behavior than Americans do. Americans are far more afraid as a social group.

As I understand it, intelligence has some genetic components, but is largely based on upraising as well. I.e. playing the memory game with a three year old makes them smarter.

I am not surprised that blacks don't test as well, because unfortunately much of their culture doesn't value education in the same way others do. That doesn't necessarily mean its genetic.

However, I did read that humans who come from places that have four seasons evolved to be smarter, because they had to do more planning to survive.
