    Today At School.

I was heading down the stairs to lunch with several of my friends. I got to the 2nd floor and looked to my left and saw this girl on the ground shaking because she was having a seizure. There was a teacher kneeling by her who had no idea what to do. I watched for a moment then a bunch of teachers and deans in my school came running by me and told us to go downstairs. I don't know what ended up happening to her, but it was a scary situation. I was just curious to ask what causes seizures? What is happening during a seizure in the persons body? Are they painful?

Also, does anyone have any stories from work/school where someone got injured or had something happen to them like a seizure? I think they would be cool to hear.

Guess it all depends on the type of seizure she is having.

My son from 1-3 yo had about 5 febrile seizures. They were induced, by the body not being able to control a fever.

Seizures are usually a form of protection for the body.

Very scary, no matter how many times you see them.

something that happened in a class I was in a few years ago. We were just sitting in this 3 hour lecture when this one girl's head rolls back and starts moaning/barking. The professor just stayed up there and kept teaching till she just stopped, got up in tears, and walked herself out

Back in 2000, a friend showed me how to order GHB over the internet. We were ordering massive amounts of the shit and getting fucked up off of it. If you drink too much you will go into a seizure. Between 30 friends drinking the shit every weekend, I saw at least a hundred incidents of people flopping on the ground like a fish out of water. We coined a phrase to it "doing the mullet" or “scooping out”. We were so use to it that we usually just laughed at the person while they flopped on the ground shitting and pissing their pants. All you can do at that point was watch the person, make sure their breathing didn't stop, place them on their side so they don’t suffocate on their puke.
I have went into a GHB seizure at least 10 times myself, but luckily my friends were there each time to make sure I didn’t die. I usually barfed all over myself while twitching and convulsing on the floor. Good times!

Holy shit, I just had the most wicked image of KelJu having a seizure. I think KelJu wouldn't be the only one shitting his pants. Mino should make a gif of that.

I'm lucky in the fact that I never pissed or shit in my pants. The worst part was all of the sore muscles afterwards from the spasming.
