When does a 102 fever feel like its normal?

When you are typically running 104-104.5

Thats been me since saturday. 4g of tylenol a day, my liver hates me. My fever finally 'broke' tonight, i'm up at 430am, as i have been each day, with only 101.5 which isn't even phasing me really lol.

Sorry if you were expecting a joke or something, i was really sick and just wanted to share. I really thought i was gonna have a seizure in the middle of the night at one point.

I remember having hallucinations when I had a fever as a kid, I think it shaped who I am today for some strange reason????

Sure it was the three double dipped hits of acid you dropped the night before?

Seriously though you do get delusional on that stuff, i can definitely see hallucinations occurring if your brain heats up enough. I kept hearing strange noises, and sometimes i would get that shifting back and forth slightly sensation you get when you eat shrooms.

Did you go see a doctor? That's a pretty high temperature.

I'm glad to hear you're coming out of it!

i came down with my last fever in my sleep and had this crazy dream/hallucination that i had done all these things to get sick, including building something with rain forest wood , and needed to do them in precise reverse order to get well. at the time it made perfect sense till about the third time i woke up drenched in sweat i wasn't quite right in the head for about 4 days.

That's doctor material right there. They'd probably give you a drug that had a more dramatic effect on your body temperature than your OTC tylenol does.

    Hope you feel better, yanick.

Typically, for me, fevers are mild this was a first. My fever was caused by an ear/throat infection which is still being treated. The doc thought it was viral and wrote out an anti viral med and ear drops, when i worsened he told me to come in for IV antibiotics which i've been doing for three days now along with my other meds. You don't really treat a fever, you need to treat the underlying cause for the fever to drop and manage it with NSAIDs or Tylenol, ice, cold compresses etc.

I do remember having some weird dreams as well, i don't remember them but remember waking up shaking (cold sweats) with a feeling of uneasiness. I was about to ask my doc to write out ativan but i abused benzo's as a stupid high school kid and he knew that so i probably wouldn't get it from him.

I don't think I did much acid as a 9 year old kid not for 10 more years in fact. But from that time on I always found myself interested in surreal psychedelic stuff, from the age of 10 I was into transcendental meditation, vivid dreaming, trying to push the limits of my imagination and things like that all due to having such weird trippy dreams from that fever....
