I think your friends are correct. Hillary will tax the fuck out of us, and we will get nothing in return.

I never voted before. Now that I'm 25, own a home, pay taxes, I want to start voting. Its so hard to make a decision. Both parties have pros and cons and really have to do your research, which means a lot of reading. I work with a lot of engineers that are in their 60's. They are all advising me against voting for Hillary. They say she is going to tax that shit out of us.
From what I understand Democrats are for taxing the big businesses and Republicans are for taxing the working citizen. I can see how both sides have a case when it comes to that issue. Are there any good sites out there or books that will give me a basic understanding of politics and who is for what? I remember Howard Stern talking about a website that asks you questions and picks the best canidate from your answers. Anyone know the website?

I see two options; either a generation pays for the greed and corruption of the corporate plutocracy whist changing the system or the other option is that america fails. 10 trillion in debt--debt is the new american dream, and in this system it will only get worse with time. While it sucks that someone has to pay for it, it's actually a more patriotic notion than blind flag waving, and rediculous theatrics of false patriotism that is running rampant as of late.
Not that I think Hillary would accomplish anything with taxes. She is bought and paid for like most policians. She showed her true colors when she sold out on the healthcare system.
All I can say is:
1. read and research from sources that are as unbiased as possible.
2. Look for alternative sources - in addition - to the American Mainstream Media. This includes foreign sources, publications, also.
The Ds and Rs are more similar than different. They very close on the political spectrum, and who they receive money from.

After reading, hearing, and seeing so many abstract speeches, debates targeting the masses with soundbites, and hearing spin, and buzzwords, I intentionally avoid this campaign.
The US economic paradign of today began more or less, in 1970. This economic model will continue.
Yes, taxes will go up, no matter which parties wins. I do think they'll go up more if the Ds win in the Exec and Legislature.
There is no way out of it now.
We have to focus on our happiness, and realize that we, as American will have to be happy with a lower standard of living for now and the future.
It's an accurate statement that our current spending will not be increasing the debt We've stopped spending money that we don't have.

THe republicans are not for taxing the working class...they are taxing very little all around the board, hence why the national debt is so high. My only advice:
unless you are wealthy or have family involved in the gov't, do not vote only on party.
This is the best site IMO, but it requires you to read a little. Those quizzes that you fill out and a survey picks the best possible candidate are NOT very accurate. In fact most are poor. They are usually designed by some grad student or intern working at market researching companies with little background in public policy and int'l affairs.

Start with the basics and make choices on them. Where do you stand on abortion, gun control, taxation, economics, foreign policy, the death penalty, and immigration reform. Try to weed out the bullshit from the reality of where a candidate stands on these things and vote that way.
The hardest part is keeping your own identity separate from your political ideology. Some people get so caught up in being a republican or a democrat it becomes like being a Browns' fan or Patriots' fan. Right wrong or in between "their" party is right and that's it. There are still people here at IM that will never admit how bad a job Bush has done. He'll get defended not because he did well, but because the person just cannot accept that he or she made a mistake and voted for the wrong person by voting republican. Their ego gets soooo involved in how they stand politically that voting the party line failed them gets to be too hard to admit. Avoid that and vote the issues ...
Look at how fucked up people were with the Dixie Chicks for speaking out on how they felt about Bush.
The main thing is that you vote, nowdays there are too many people in our own country that would like to see that right taken away.![]()

First, I thought a moderators job was to moderate and not try to intimidate and that is exactly what you are doing. You are trying to force and issue.
Secondly, this is not the only board on the Internet and it certainly is not the largest and it probably won't be as long as the moderators jump on people that have just signed up. If anything you should have sent me a pm welcoming me but instead you want to challenge me.
Maybe the Admin will see this and he or she will figure out why he/she keeps losing people.
So go back to your lair and wait for the next person to sign up so you can chase them out.
Good day.

Who is your daddy and what does he do?

Wow, I guess it had to happen. There are lots of forums on the internet which creates lots of variables so it stands to reason that eventually a forum of total idiots could occur.
As far as the first stupid mod I can't believe you can be that shallow. Simply google American communist party.
As far as Ian, good looking kid, I bet you can't wati until he gets big enough for you to fuck.
Also for Ian, I will not inuslt the lady very much but if we ever met face to face I would spank your ass and send you to the kitchen to make a sandwich.
Sorry Mr Dimaggio, I didn't want it to go this way. I only wanted to have an opinion but it seems your mods can't understand that.
Plus, I like to take it in the ass just like Doms. See we can compromise.

You are way too paranoid dude.
Reread your posts and you'll noticed all Doms did was ask a simple question and then you went on a bitchy rant.

I ask you again 34FQTK, Who is your daddy and what does he do?

Ok, let's try this again..We're going to play a wonderful game called...”Who is my daddy and what does he do?" Do you understand?

If you want to have an opinion then you better be ready to defend it when challenged....
Now who are these too many who want to take away our right to vote? Besides Democrats who think we should only be able to vote for Democrats and Republicans who think we should only be able to vote for God Fearing Republicans(unless they're Mormon)
Doublebase you should vote Libertarian....

Hi 34FQTK!![]()
Welcome to Iron magazine. You are currently posting in our cherished open chat forum. In open chat, almost anything goes. You can say whatever is on your mind. That also means we can say whatever we want. If you can't handle someone not being nice and kissing your ass, then this is not the forum for you.
We act completely different in the other IM forums, but open chat is for amusement only. Wash your vagina, wipe your tears, and deal with it.
