when I first went in with the glasses I was convinced it was just a gimmick. But when we left we both agreed that in 2D it'd be a good movie, but in 3D it's one of the best damn ways to spend $20. I was waiting for when you'd get tired of the 3D and just wish you had seen it regular, but that feeling never comes. At a certain point you don't even realize you're watching a movie, it's more of an experience. In the final few scenes there's arrows flying everywhere, and we both caught ourselves dodging them with our bodies. It's that exhilerating. And the first scene with Grendel is something like you'd experience in a Disney ride, like the alien invasion ride they used to have where you're in the dark room and there's a monster alien somewhere hidden in the dark. It's so awesome, there's no way to describe it. You just have to see it, trust me. Freakin' A+ movie, Freaking A++++ in 3D

Do you get disposable glasses? When I saw the Space IMAX 3D movie they had glasses that you had to return and they were just shitty, hard plastic and it hurt my head after about 10 minutes.

absolutely not. This movie would good on DVD, but it's a freaking experience in the theater. It's seriously like being on a very good disney ride but with an amazing story to tell as well.

as far as the glasses, we got to keep them and they only hurt our head when we wore them outside of the theater. During the movie you don't even notice that you're wearing them

It wasn't hurting because of the lenses, but rather the 3 cent Taiwanese construction. I don't think I have a big melon, but they didn't fit for shit.

Does it do 3D with red/blue lenses or does it use clear polarized lenses?

doesn't have to be Imax. But now that I think about it, it would be downright scary in Imax. I might have to see it again

They're polarized glasses. It doesn't really feel like you're even wearing 3D glasses, except that if the sun is up they'll burn a hole through your head
