I am in love with Mass Effect right now. I've only been able to squeeze in 3 or 4 hours since I've gotten it, but it's been one of the most amazing games I've every played already
Sickeningly awsome game is all I have to say...
I don't have much time to play it, but I'll take advantage of the next few days and get some gaming in.
Basically it's a Bioware RPG. And when it comes to RPG's, bioware doesn't mess around. Star Wars: KOTOR, and Jade Empire are two examples of this in the past, and they have gotten game of the year 4 or 5 times in the last 7 years.

It does look amazing. And not just the grahphics, but also the game play and story.
On a related note, I don't own a console (because I like to tweak the games and don't like the controllers), so you suck for brining up this painful subject.
And happy belated Thanskgiving to you, too!
So many cries of inequality stem from one of group
of people doing little or nothing and then bitching
about another group that actually does something
to improve their lives.
I'm still at the citadel lol. I typically take games like this really slowly to get the most out of the experience. I rarely ever take a game on a second run so I try to milk it for all its worth the first time around
and while it hasn't been confirmed, I wouldn't be surprised at all to find this game on the PC in a year. Both Bioware and Microsoft have been known to have their games ported to the PC, just don't expect too many improvements. For some reason, most Xbox to PC ports are exactly the same on both systems, even if the PC does have an extra year to fix a few things
The game isn't perfect, but none are. I have frozen a few times during gameplay, and there are framerate issues in larger areas, but it doesn't bother me at all. I remember when IGN reviewed KOTOR and gave it like a 9.0, or 9.1, the same time Halo 2 came out and got a 9.5 I believe. KOTOR got game of the year.
I agree it's not perfect, but this game for some reason, more than any other game, makes me think it could have been if they had had another 6 or so months to work on it. It's rare that you can play a game these days without feeling like it had a heavy timeline looming over the developers, and this game just screams amazing talent behind a game with a due date.
