    Soldiers, whats your take?

Video - Breaking News Videos from CNN.com

While this is still in prelim stages of development, it seems to have some promise. it could also be transferred to handicapped or injured persons who have lost mobility or strength.

Too bulky, it'll be cool when they can make all those mechanics involved on a micro scale to make the suits of armor shown....right now I think the best thing would be to make the ammo boxes lighter........ maybe making smaller robotic knee, ankle, hips, shoulder, wrist and elbow braces that communicate to perform in conjunction would be better. I think first troops will see load support in forms of Big Dog(a robotic pack mule) and the Squad mission support system unmanned atv that will follow a group of soldiers autonomously while carrying their gear and laying down cover fire with a mounted gun....it could even be used to transport injured soldiers away from the front line w/o taking a team member away from the battle....

But how cool would it be to have a dragon skin full body suit with robot joint support braces sewn in and all covered in nano metamaterial for optical cloaking....
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

The Army's Future Force Warrior is already in the works:
