Read "The catcher in the rye"with me (I just got my copy and its a fairly short book), you can get it from the library, when you dont know a word, grab a dictionary. Just try it.

    Can't say that I ever liked catcher in the Rye, read some Burroughs. You won't have to worry about comprehension and there's all sorts of violence and drugs, just up Danny's alley.

    I can see where it would make serial killers snap. I'm only on page 22 and he's telling a guy that his hunting hat is a "people shooting hat" Thats how it got famous really, Chapman got John lennon to sign it before he killed him later on the same day.He still had it on him when the cops arrested him.....kinda crazy.
    Catcher in the rye's pretty much about a teenager who gets expelled from another school and starts to have a nervouse breakdown. Its got a little sick humour in it. So far I like it.
    Book Review: The Catcher in the Rye incase you want a more in depth description....

    Ode To Danny81

    Clandestine - The Catcher In The Rye

    Well, Danny's a sweet young body, Danny's seldom dry,
    Draggled his petticoatie, comin' through the rye.
    If a body meet a body comin' through the rye,
    If a body kiss a body, need a body cry?
    All the lassies have their laddies, Nane they say, have I;
    But all the laddies smile at me, Comin' through the rye.
    Well, Danny's a sweet young body, Danny's seldom dry,
    Draggled his petticoatie, comin' through the rye.
    If a body meet a body, comin' from the town,
    If a body kiss a body, need a body frown?
    If a body meet a body, comin' from the glen,
    If a body kiss a body, need a body ken?
    If a body meet a body comin' through the rye,
    If a body catch a body, need a body cry?
    All the lassies have their laddies, Nane they say, have I;
    But all the laddies smile at me, Comin' through the rye

    Any time you buy The Catcher In The Rye some secret government agency puts your name on a list of possible homicidal maniacs or communist sympathizers or something crazy like that, you may have put us in peril by starting this thread.
    I'm sure the Government filters got a red light with this thread.

    Catch'er in the stink eye? I've got it on dvd right next to Hairy Cooter Chocolate Pocket on Fire
    Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
    not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
    and drag down the features of age,
    no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
    no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
    but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

    Why yes I was quite perplexed that though this primate "George" continued to get into hazardous situations and in doing so envoked the wrath of his owner and peers, he continued to be persistantly inquisitive.Rather intriguing wouldnt you say? (slips on monocle)
