I was wondering where Silva's spirit was the entire fight.

Fucker looked like a bumbling, sloppy drunk. Good chin though.

He was definetly in bad form but just about wore lidell out acting as a punching bag. Had there been another round or two Lidell would have been useless.

Silva did 'act' like he was tired toward the end. Id say he really was tired actually.

However, in the first two rounds, I marveled at Silva stumbling back into the cage. Almost like he wanted to look beaten or tired..maybe to reel Chuck in? Who knows, but I felt it appeared fishy.

Silvas reach is pretty fucking short though...

Bottom line, Chuck got knocked on his ass twice..well one was a slip. Oh...I forgot..Chuck grabbed Silva and took him down too.

Silva seemed very off indeed and Chuck was comin back from two pretty major losses, just a real good combination in Chuck's favor. I've always been a Lidell fan but I totally expected Silva to come out on top. The take down I believe was just a method to keep Silva from takin that finishing swing. I don't see Lidell wanting to do any groundwork with Silva.

When Rampage fought in PRIDE, a majority of that time he had shitty training partners and shitty trainers. Under Juanito he's undefeated, and seems to get better each time out. No doubt Rampage is the best 205er in the world right now and Machida is a very close 2nd. Chuck looked good last night but there are at least 4-5 guys out there that would beat him most of the time.

These PRIDE guys must be getting jitters in their debuts or something. I can't think of any other reason why they're suckin it up.

Well, Silva had to watch out for the knees and kicks on the ground. When Chuck hit the ground, if they were in PRIDE, Wandy would have kneed him and kicked him into next week. Those strikes are illegal in the UFC and I think Silva simply chose not to engage to avoid getting penalized. I think people are vastly underrating Chuck's KO power, not only that but Chuck has a pretty big reach advantage over Silva and they both loop their punches, hence Silva being cautious. Rampage is so successful against Chuck because he throws straight punches. On the other hand, Silva's style is really tailor made for Chuck's. I wasn't surprised by the outcome at all, and I picked Chuck to win.
