    different types of weight lifting

    iight i was just watchig the worlds strongest man competiton for the first time. i lways thought there were only 2 different types of strenght competiongs. Olympic lifting nd powerlifitng. now i see this. what other types of competitions are there and how do they train? as in olympic lifters do oly lifts and power lifters do low reps of squat, bench, etc. how do strong men train. they cant pick up cars all the time for their training.(can tehy)

    Actually youd be suprised, there is a video of Mariusz where he trains using some of the lifts thats are in the competition.

    The best way to get better at something is to do it, so yeah, im sure there's guys that invest in equipment to train exactly like they do stuff for the strongest man competition.

    oo. are there any other strenght copetitions? besides worlds strongest man shit,oly lifts, and power liting.

    one of those blocks was 225kg that 495 pounds and he takeing it up some stairs and then going back for another one.
    they must be able to deadlift shit loads.
    also does any one know how much one of those big tyres weight.
    one last question, as well as training by doing the things they would do in the man competition. i am guessing they would also do normal weight lifting such as bench press, deadlifts, swats, curls, push downs, pull downs, shoulder press...ect...

    Man those guys are strong and big.
