On this 35th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision, I would like to share my views on the issue of abortion.

Life begins at the point of conception. No one can deny that after a human being is conceived it will develop into the very same being as those debating this issue. What astounds me is that those who favor abortion went through an identical development stage as the being they are condemning to death. Would these very same people agree that a similiar choice should have been made about their own existence? Abortion today is used primarily as a birth control of convenience because people are too self-centered to take precautions. They prefer their own pleasurable self-indulgence over the care and sanctity of the life they created. What ever happened to taking responsibility for one's actions in this country? Is it too much to ask a woman who has conceived to place the child into adoption? Nine months of discomfort is nothing compared to life in prison for voluntary manslaughter! Does the father of the child have a say in this? And what about the constitution of the United States? Are not all people conceived in this country deserving of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness? I believe abortion is a crime against humanity and should be outlawed. We need to overturn the Roe v. Wade decision and get back to cherishing life in this country. For a country that murders it's children cannot be far from self destruction.

i don't like abortions either but maybe death is better than to come into this world and belong to people that don't want you. parents do vicious things to kids they don't love and didn't want.

My boss recently got prego from some guy she just wanted to fuck. She wasnt looking for a relationship with him, she just wanted some dick in her. I wouldve provided an invitation, but she suffers from a disease called ugliness.

Anyway, she already has two boys, from two different fathers, and now this makes the third. She has no home and her mother basically has custody of the kids. Who knows where the fathers are.. This new one doesnt even wanna speak with her again.

In any case, shes all excited about it and I told her that she needed another kid like I need a second asshole. She asked me if I would be supportive of her when she gets emotional. I told her no. I then went a step too far and said youve already got 2 kids you cant afford from two different fathers. I then followed that up with "you slap a pair of whiskers on you and youre a fucking cat!"

Naturally she was nasty with me all day.

I wont apologize cuz she makes me sick. She got pregnant at a young age twice and now she wants to live out her youth and not be a mother. Oh..but she will be a mother when its required.

I didnt suggest an abortion as I know she wont have one, but I couldnt see disagreeing with it. At this point, I am more disgusted that she will be the mother of another child.

Ah well, suddenly my life seems that much better.

More choice and options which I endorse:
CHOOSING to not have sex (highly unlikely)
CHOOSING to protect oneself (uhhh...DUH!)
CHOOSING to not have to go ont the Maury show to find out who is Laqueeshanda's baby daddy...

I don't see how anyone can be against the death penalty. Some crimes simply warrant it.

I think there is no doubt religion has greatly affected the debate on abortion (but you're right that no one mentioned it in this thread).

And I don't think abortion and the death penalty are that comparable. One could make a strong case that preventing a mass of cells from becoming something with senses (call it 'killing' the unborn child, I don't care) is principally different from killing a fully grown human being. Following the above line of thought, you could say that killing animals, or even insects or bacteria, is also comparable to abortion and the death penalty.

That said, I'm pro death penalty.

I support abortion rights, and the death penalty. I also would support a law that allows a law abiding citizen to shoot a carjacker or mugger, without regard to whether they could have gotten away safely.

I guess I am pro-death.
