Thread: Woman badly beaten on a train, 15 passengers stand by and do nothing.

"She says the man, later identified as Raymond Deherrera, began sexually harassing her at around 4500 South. When she moved away to a different seat, the woman claims Deherrera began striking her with immense force.

“I turned my face and he just socked me right in the face. I felt my nose break instantly,” she told 2News.

Roughly 15 other passengers seated nearby, the woman claims, either watched the attack or turned away -- but did nothing.

Deherrera allegedly continued to throw fast punches at the woman. Unable to sustain the attack herself, she relied on the 10 to 15 other passengers in the train for assistance.

“There was somebody sitting RIGHT NEXT to me on the other side. So he had seen the whole thing,” she said.

According to the woman, no one tried to stop the attack, no one pushed the emergency button on the train and no one called 911.

Its not America, its the human species. I am sure it is much worse in many other countries.

One thing I loved about small town country life was how your fellow townspeople would always help someone in trouble. That shit mostly happens in urban areas these days.

While i should be surprised, i am not. People only look after themselves and will not put themselves at risk to save another. It happens in street/bar fights all the time. Once someone gets knocked out unconsciously, people still stand by and watch the attacker brutally beat up the victim. It is just sickening.

Just a bunch of cold-blooded assholes with absolutely no sympathy for others.

I'd have stepped up. Hell, I have stepped up. Three Indins (the teepee type) were drunk and started to harass a (smallish) guy. So I stepped up and they stepped down.

The funny thing is that I just moved from there.

BTW, the guy sounds like a chewie. To which I'm not surprised.

Is it bad to wish a terrorist tries to hijack your plane so you could beat the shit out of that dirty fuck?

The worse thing about SLC is the Mexicans. They're responsible for the majority of the crime. Especially the violent crimes.

What is dumbfounding is that not only did no one step in, no one hit the emergency button on the train and no one called 911. Maybe if you are extremely selfish, a grown man wouldn't risk getting hit, but the least you can do is pick up your phone.

its both. most of the crime stems from gangs, but like any growing/big city there is crime from all races. most of it though is caused by races other than white people.

I would've snapped his fucking neck, after learning how to in the Navy I still can't wait for my chance to use it or at least put my largest key through his trachea or made an eyeball kabob or put my fountain pen through his earhole fuck there are so many ways to get someone to stop doing something really fast but I never get a chance to try them out.....

I've read up on the legality of killing other people "in self defense". It's not that easy to be "in the right" when killing another human being.
