also just found this: "Similarly, men who smoke marijuana or consume alcohol regularly may also develop gynecomastia." Not something I'd say I'm proud but I used to smoke more than Willy Nelson.

One trip to an endocrinologist well make you feel better than anything anyone can say here. If you want to feel at ease that is what you should go for. They know people toke, lift, worry, wonder etc etc. I don't think a regular doctor will do it for you, IMHO.

I get that alot, not cause they're sexy women breast but you know........kinda made me leary about this post but oh well I'll live.

Everybody gets tender nipples as they go through puberty.

they're not tender really. I don't know I think I'm just parainoid, but it there is some harder than adipose growth in there but it's most likely cause I'm just so flabby though. Lookin at me you wouldn't think I had it so who knows.....I still think I might get checked out ta ease my mind.

But srsly. How noticeable are they? You should see a doctor because it's easier to treat sooner rather than later, and guys can get breast cancer too.

I dont' know, I mean anybody that may not know what it is or maybe anyone who would probably wouldn't notice it. I just look kinda flabby, but i've been cutting down some and it doesn't seem to be leaving my chest. I've been like that since high school but never thought about gyno. I'm gonna make an appointment tommorow. I can't seem to find a good endo so I'm just gonna go and get an exam and see if i can get a referal.

Ok got an order for a CMP (metabolic panel) to check out my liver and I decided ta check my cholesterol while I'm at it. Dr. said in a couple weeks after I've gotten those outta the way he's goin to refer to me a surgeon to get a second opinion on the gyno and have my hormones checked. He ddin't think it was gyno but because of my hairless nature said he'd like to have things checked anyway........doubt any of you are really interested in this, just thought I'd follow up on my thread.

Good luck, what labs does a CMP check for in regards to liver? I've never come across a CMP, all i know about liver is ALT/AST from a CBC but then again i don't have too much clinical experience yet.

Glucose, Calcium, Albumin, Total Protein, Sodium, Potassium, CO2, Chloride, BUN, Creatinine, ALP, ALT, AST, and Bilirubin.

So it's not just the liver but includes kidneys and other stuff (comprehensive Metabolic Panel).

You sure they just aren't swollen from pinching them during self pleasure sessions?

Also do you have any Native American heredity? I do and I don't grow facial hair very fast either and my chest has a few stray hairs and thats it.......

An IM who suffers from "manboobs" says he has become a prisoner in his own home after the NHS refused to pay for a breast reduction.
Evanps, 21, from Kentucky, has suffered from gynecomastia - or manboobs - for the past 10 years.

But his local primary care trust says it will not pay for a breast reduction operation, which would cost Mr Evanps between $5,000 and $9,000 if he could afford to go private.

Mr Evanps, said: "It's made me a prisoner in my own home. I can't get a job. For me to leave the house, I have to have several layers of clothes on and a belt tied round my chest.

" IM members and people that sort of know me will call me names. You don't know what strangers are thinking when they look at you. I don't know whether they think I have got breasts or not."

He added: "I have had the problem since I was 13 or 14 but I didn't do anything about it. I got bullied at school but then I stopped going so that solved that.

"The first time I went to the doctors was in 2005 and they said 'no' then so I went back last November to get anti-depressants because it was getting me down.

"They had another look at me but said they wouldn't do the operation because I was too fat. But I am not obese.

"They said they would reconsider if I got down to 11lbs but I don't believe them. I just want the PCT to get its act together."

IM member SYN, has vowed to stand by Evanps. She said: "I don't mind the way Evanps is. I like him for his personality, and I happen to think manboobs are sexy.

"He could be 760lbs and I would still love him. It's not the looks that count."

She added: "I can't go out for a walk or do anything like go for a swim or to the beach because people come up to me and say stuff about Evanps some men even seem to want to suck on them."

Evanps is now hoping that Ironmagazine Open Chat of Teaching Primary Care Trust will change its mind and pay for him to have the operation. He claims that in other counties he would be given the operation and that he is the victim of a postcode lottery.

A spokeswoman for the IM said: "Whilst we do not comment on individual cases, we do however have a clear process for any individual to have their request for funding made to the PCT.

"This considers all aspects of the patient's condition, including the views of their clinician, and a decision is taken on the basis of all relevant information."
