Thread: The Ghostly Doubles in the Machine or Vardogr's, glitches in the "reality" program

i saw what i believe was a ghost. it was broad daylight and it was moving toward me. i sat up in bed staring at it and when i did it stopped, paused for several seconds then reversed direction and faded into nothing as it moved away. we lived over a funeral parlor at the time.

I walked in my closet and heard native american music and chanting for a few seconds. I was sober.

Did you guys read the stories in the link? I could imagine how that might happen, the universe is so used to you doing the same thing everyday and then you get into a transcendental state of mind while driving (I've experienced it before many times)and then project yourself further down the line. If I could master such a thing i could show up to work at my regular time all the while sleeping comfortably in my bed for a couple more hours!

my brother woke me up by saying my name every morning for years. he still did it occasionally when i lived thousands of miles away.

I have deja vu experiences way too often, I'd say at least twice a month, they are so similar to situations I think I've been in already that I can practically predict the future a few seconds ahead for almost a minute...really freaks me out.

I also have these times when I'll grab my cell phone before it will ring and it's always my gf calling...almost like I subconsciously feel her thinking about me as she presses send on her phone and I get the thought before the phone signal gets through or maybe it's just that the digital signal patterns for her phone in the radiowaves are somehow subconsciously able to tingle some area of my brain and it's figured out that when that sensation comes I'm gonna pick up my phone?

Still happening to me, I wonder if there might be some science in this, like maybe our brains or nervous system can sense a certain frequency and it's related that to our phone ringing or if there is some psychic energy and someday we're all going to be wearing little yarmulkes with antennas and nano-wires running into our brains....

The first time I ever experienced something like a ghost was when I was about 4-5 yrs old.
I got up in the middle of the night to take a piss.
When I was walking back to my room, in the door way was a hovering entity.
It looked like the classic ghostly floating sheet.
It was White/transparent, with no appendages, and with 2 eye holes.
I was so tired, I simply observed it, and walked straight through and went back to bed.

I think it must have been remnants of DMT coursing though my head...

I don't really have any set beliefs on this subject though. Our mind can create anything. We already know that. It precedes in experiences we have.

The OP is from 2008. I don't believe in ghost. I have never seen one, or anything that would lead me to believe in ghost.

I remember this like it was yesterday.

I was 5 years old, my family and I were traveling cross country in a motorhome. We had just left the house and I was giddy and full of excitement to be traveling in a house on wheels.

Anyway, we got to the corner stop sign and I went to the back of the RV to look out a window, as I did, I looked out one block and on the corner, I saw what I believed to be a ghost.

He was a naval man, all white, hat to his shoes, but I was able to decern the cut of his clothes. He seemed to be illuminating like a light bulb, but it wasn't emitting any light.

The funny thing was as soon as I opened the window, he was staring straight at me, and I at him.

I kinda got scared and shut the curtains and never told a soul until I was in my mid twenties.
