North Face Fleece Jacket
Is it just me or does every high school/college aged person own one of these North Face fleeces, exact color and style? I'm not knocking the name brand at all. I just find it odd that so many people buy the exact same jacket. I literally see dozens of these walking around my campus. Maybe it's just a north east thing. It's like buying one of these jackets and putting up a Dave Matthews Band posters in your dorm room are two must dos in college life.

Everyone had one when I went to prep school in 1995.
They pre-date Dave Matthews by a bit, but they all still played hackysack and wore Birkinstocks.

What the hell is a jacket?
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts

It's everywhere here too and apparently big in the Chicago area. I have seen a red version before but black is definitely the most popular. I've got a similar fleece jacket in black made by Ralph Lauren Polo and I like it better than its North Face counterpart.
