    There Will Be Blood...

...should be called...THERE WILL BE AWESOME.

If you enjoy Stanley Kubrick, this was probably the closest I've seen anyone come to capturing that sort of powerful intensity in directing. The music, the dialog, the framing, all perfect.

You could see PTA evolving into this with Punch Drunk Love, but the subject just wasn't there. This one is a home run IMO.

A kid here at the school saw it twice. I always liked Daniel Day Lewis and plan on seeing this.

Cant believe it reminded you of Kubrick though.

I've been hearing a lot about this. Is it coming to theatres or DVD?

    Its out in theaters now.

He seems to be playing the same character that he played in Gangs of New York, though I am sure its not identical.

As long as it's nothing like Gangs of NY, it's ok with me. GoNY is one of the most overrated movies I know. Shame on Scorsese.

Daniel was the best part of that movie...possibly the only good part.

I'm a huge Stanley Kubrick fan. I should go see this movie. I don't watch TV so I didn't even know about the movie until 30 seconds ago.

I had never seen a preview for it on television anyway.

It seems to be somewhat under the radar compared to No Country For Old Men.

I thought he played one of the best characters I had ever seen in a movie. I became a DDL fan after seeing GoNY

Ok I saw There Will Be Blood last night..

I see, well, hear the Kubrick moments, but I was bored a lot. DDL was fantastic, but I really wasnt swept away.

It wasnt a bad movie, just a lot of slow parts which made the length of the movie noticeable.

Just got back from watching it. I really enjoyed it. I thought the story was great. The ending rocked too. Not a movie you need to see in the movie theatre but definatly something you should pick up on DVD.

I liked it, but it was a bit too long and some of the Kubrick moments (they're definitely recognizable) are unnecessary so they don't have that much impact. The second half of the movie is better. The scenes in the church and the bowling lane are brilliant. I'm finished.
