Why? You obviously can't make that much.

Even having two kids we still get zero based upon that formula. 150K combined income isnt a lot of money.

150k is a lot of money. Especially living in Phoenix. If you lived in Cali I would tend to agree based on cost of living their but c'mon. Now if you spend like a drunken sailor, sure 150k isn't a lot.

If $150k isn't a lot of money to you, then you don't need $1200 .

A lot of economics and even Republicans are saying this isn't going to do anything.

On Repub Congressman called the rebated "dropping a glass of water into the ocean."

Michael Bloomberg made a statement today to paraphrase: the tax rebate is like giving a drink to an alcoholic. 3rd World Balance sheets, etc.

    (Sorry no links.)

Anyway, any whatever you do with the extra dollas.

It's true. Although lower taxes would help, what really needs to happen is the government needs to cut spending and stop wasting trillions of dollars. They're the reason the dollar is so goddamn weak which in turn causes higher prices.

    Dear Jacob,

Tax relief is coming. A bipartisan effort has produced legislation to give tax rebates to individuals and to families as well as tax incentives for businesses. The goal is to provide a jolt to our slowing economy and to help people who may be struggling to keep their homes because of the mortgage crisis.

The bill provides tax relief of up to $600 per individual and $1,200 per married couple plus an additional $300 per child. In Utah, 1 million households will receive rebates; the average Utah household tax rebate is $1,000. Any Utahn who earned at least $3,000 in 2007 will get at least $300 per single and $600 per couple, as well as the child tax credit. Our senior citizens and disabled veterans also receive help. Any Utahn who receives at least $3,000 in Social Security income, self-employment income or veterans' disability payments (including payments to survivors of disabled veterans) will get a tax rebate. The money could arrive as soon as mid-May.

To encourage business investment, the legislation doubles the amount small businesses can immediately write off their taxes for capital investment. It also speeds up depreciation provisions.

Finally, the measure increases the Federal Housing Administration's loan limits to expand affordable mortgage loan opportunities for families at risk of foreclosure through the FHA.

Please help me understand how this legislation affects you and your family by answering the following brief survey.

    Sincerely,
    Jim Matheson

Congrats. You are in the income bracket which this country depends on as its cash cow. The tax bracket that is most likely to be self-made success. The tax bracket that is most likely to invest in stocks, or start a small business, and thus stimulate the economy.

As a reward, prepare to be fucked for the rest of your working life. And it will only get worse when Billary gets into office.

As an aside, I am going to buy a gun with mine. An American-made gun. Nearly everyone else will spend it on Chinese-made electronics.

    I invest in stocks.
I worked for a small business, they need the little people....one hand washes the other.

I don't think Hillary is going to win against (gasp!) a black man named Obama.
You would probably hang yourself or even try to assassinate him if he would succeed as President.

A you by chance still in College? If so, please leave your gun at home.

True. So many things are made in China.

The owners do vary, though: American companies, such as Apple, manufacture the ipod in China.

Japanese, Korean, European companies go for the cheap labor and low regulations, environmental considerations.
