Gym, but if I had the proper equipment and enough space I think I'd prefer working out at home because I could blast music and not have to deal with headphones.

Train at home. Just easier when you have two little kids.

Home, if I had all the hot girls from the gym. We'd share the shower afterwards. I'd provide them all with free protien shots....

Like Sox said, if i had the space and money to make a gym at home i would totally rather lift at home. Not assholes doing curls in the squat rack, i would know that all my weight will be in its proper place and i would totally have bumper plates and a platform so i could get a little crazier with the oly lifts and be able to safely dump them if something goes wrong.

    Gym.

Yanick, you strike up an interesting (repetitve) topic I just thought of building from...

People who curl in the squats...do any of you guys ask them to do it elsewhere? I do and I am not rude about it. They understand or seem to understand 100% of the time.

It depends, the planets have to be in alignment so to speak.

I'm ritualistic in my training, so if i have been squatting first i refuse to move my workout around. As well if i am in a hurry and there is some dude curling in the rack i'll tell him to take it elsewhere. If there is a guy doing heavy shrugs and i'm not really in a hurry, i'll hang out, do a general warm up and wait. I've only really done it one time, to be honest, because it really is first come first serve IMO.

a 1/4 of my car port is my weight training area with bench that has the leg ext/curl attachment and holds an EZ Curl bar on the other side. Then in one of our spare bedrooms is our elliptical machine that has a pulley resistance training for various angles. Some days when I don't feel like messing with plates I'll use that and then do my cardio immediately after.....though I prefer to do my cardio outside since I live in Hawaii but we get periods where it rains for 6 weeks straight, and not that I mind jogging/walking in the rain, in fact I love it but it's the dangerous drivers around here when it rains I don't like....

I workout at home. Sometimes, I miss the pieces of equipment that I can't fit in my home office.

But that simply isn't enough of downside to give up never having to wait (8.5 minute workouts) for equipment, not having to wear shoes, not having to spend time traveling to and from the gym (the nearest decent gym is 15 minutes away), blaring my music when I workout, not having to worry about getting booted for grunting, and, most importantly to me, not having anyone around when I workout.

It bugs the shit out of me to be bothered when I'm working out. I've read some of the comments about what people have to put up with in a public gym. I'd probably end up stabbing someone to death with an oly bar.

about another group that actually does something
