Sources: Spitzer Not Expected To Continue Term

NEW YORK (CBS) â€• Gov. Eliot Spitzer has been linked to a prostitution ring, the New York Times is reporting on its Web site. He not expected to continue his term, multiple sources in the state Legislature tell CBS 2, setting off one of the largest scandals in modern New York state political history.

Spitzer had canceled his scheduled events for the day and was expected to address the news during an afternoon news conference.

If he resigns, Lt. Gov. David Paterson would be expected to take over as governor.

Spitzer, 48, is married with three daughters.

Just last week, U.S. Attorney Michael Garcia announced that charges were unsealed in Manhattan accusing four people of participating in a prostitution ring that called itself Emperors Club VIP

Why do you assume I am liberal at all? If anything on the "political scale" I'm more conservative than anything. However unlike both sides, I believe in something called "common sense".

If I had to rate myself though, I would say that I am a libertarian/conservative mix.
