i think it's frustrating that there's so much talk and yet none of it seems to go anywhere...

The election started the earliest in history because so much money was needed to be raised. I'm tired and bored by it. 8 more months to go until the election....I'm starting to tune out.

I think it is hilarious that liberals are at least as confident now as they were when Kerry was running.

They've bitched and complained so loud for so long that they think they've got everyone convinced. Sorry to break it to you, but you are the overly-vocal minority, my friend. What makes it even better is that the libs are so certain that they didn't even bother to pick a centrist. Swing for the fences, and go as far left as you can go.

I think the hilarious thing is that conservatives still believe the ole fear-and-smear tactics are going to work again this time around, as if they believe the American people are so overwhelmingly stupid that they can't figure out the con-game.

One interesting fact this primary season was that, even when the GOP field was full of candidates, the top vote getter in the Democratic presidential primary often received more votes than most of the Republican candidates combined. And since people are getting wise to the "anything but far-right is liberal" line of manure from "conservatives," the wingnuts aren't even strong enough to get a single one of their candidates to the finish line. None.

So far, the "conservative" pundits have raged about McSame being the nominee, calling him a "liberal" (as if that is some bad word to anyone BUT the far Right) and yet continue to be incapable of coming up with anything more than the Rovian namecalling made so famous during the Bush campaign years. Add that to the reality that McSame was tossed under the bus eight years ago by Republicans infatuated by every con game manufactured by the Bush campaign, and there ain't gonna be much trust in any Republican candidate.

How is it playing in the country? Well, just last week the Republicans lost another congressional seat, this time in Dennis Hastart's district, an area which was redrawn especially to protect an overwhelmingly Republican voting base and keep the GOP in office. How did they lose it? They ran another crazy-ass wingnut who tried the same tired fear-and-smear routine.

I am most likely not going to vote for McCain, not because he is too liberal but because he is too conservative. But people like you still disgust me.

Health care could wait. The biggest issue this country needs to address is clogging that drainpipe of money and resources called Iraq. Fuck that fucking country. Let them sort out their own shit, if no other argument works; we simply can't afford to be there!

That meant nothing... I'm pretty conservative and I couldn't stand Jim Oberweis because of his ads. He comes off as very annoying: I've been hearing his failed campaign ads in Chicago for years.

What's hilarious is that this is the Democrat's election to lose. They are supposed to win. Their arrogance is idiotic, as the election was gift wrapped by the wayward Republicans... they aren't going to win on policy or ideology, they are winning because they aren't Republicans.

If they don't win, it will be a humiliating loss: and McCain just might be the man to stop them.

Regardless, I'm prepared to lose. They aren't, which would make the upset that much more fun.

While I don't support the war in Iraq, over the long term the price of the war will be a drop in the bucket compared to the cost of maintaining another bloated, corrupt, wasteful social entitlement program, namely Socialized Healthcare.

Look at where we are with Social Security. Once you start these programs, it is nearly impossible to get out. The cost of the Iraq war is about 1 trillion, the SHORTFALL in Social Security is about 13 trillion. Not to mention medicare, medicaid, welfare, unemployment benefits, housing subsidies, etc. etc.
