I work 10 hours a day and still workout 4 times during the work week. Man up. Working out gives me more energy during the day. I don't drink caffeine either.
I use to work out, sense I've had this new job I'm too tired to do in real exercising and going to the gym. How do any of you get the energy to workout?

try shorter workouts at first till your body gets used to it. i work typicaly seven days a week for 8-12 hours a day. after a while you know your body when it needs to eat, what it needs to eat all that good stuff. just give yourself time to adjust.

24h - 8h work - 1h eating - 1h household - 1h miscellaneous stuff - 1h workout - 8h sleeping = 4h spare time

I sit in front a computer for nine hours a day. By the end of the work day, I am damn near climbing the walls here.
Workout before work.

Getting to the gym is the hard part. Sometimes when I'm tired, I trick myself into thinking I'll only do half the workout, but by the time I start lifting I almost always finish it. It's hard to be sleepy after 20 minutes of heavy lifting.

the best motivation is a photo. get one of what you want to transform you body into, or one of what you dont want to let yourself turn into.

its all in your priorities.
if it means that much you will find a way.
going first thing in the morning is great, cause then at the end of the day you dont feel guilty for doing what ever comes up.
and believe it or not some of us go at 5 am, go to work, and then go back and do cardio. sick isnt it. yet we still have a life, family and fun.

Try to get back into routine and make sure you get enough sleep the night before a workout. I think getting enough sleep and eating decent throughout the day really makes the difference.
I bet he doesn't get into lifting and he gets fired.

My old ass will take all of you to school on this one.
Crash course in LIFE. You set goals. You believe you can achieve them. You schedule the time required to do this. Easy.
All of this "i'm too tired" and "I work too many hourts" is Bullshit. You children on this website need to grow up, and do what needs to be done.
I am almost 42 years old. For the past four and a half years I have owned my own business. For the past two years I have owned this busines on a much larger scale, working anywhere from 60 to 85 hours a week. I found the time to go back to the gym...at five-thirty every morning.....adding to my already crazy hourly schedule.
You boys quit being so damn soft, and cowboy up! This "oh, Mommy I can't do it" crap is getting old.
Grow some, lift the damn weight, and make the world a better place.
Man, I work 8 hours a day from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, go to the gym anywhere between 6 and 7 for an hour. I usually don't get to sleep around 12 or 1 am, then repeat the whole process.
It's exhausting, but if you want it bad enough you'll suck it up and just go to the gym.

I don't know about you, but my training was at its best when I had no free time. I worked full-time, some times two jobs and managed to graduate. Lifting is what kept me sane. Lifting provided me with the energy I needed to do everything else. Last summer I worked two jobs, so I didn't have a day off. My training had never been better than that summer. I had no distractions other than the month before finals each semester. There was never a question in my mind as to what I would be doing the next day, because everyday was the same: work, then school, then training. My friends complained that I worked too much and never hung out with them.![]()

When I worked in a warehouse it was very difficult and I missed plenty of workouts. I once unloaded a 48 foot trailer by myself, and there were maybe 4 pallets on the whole thing, the rest were loose items. I can't remember a piece count but I was constantly moving (and fast) for what was I think 5 or 6 hours straight, it was hell.
