Holy shit, nice vids. I had to go back see what I missed. Looks like you will destroy people once you learn how to use your power. Your legs and back dwarfed your opponents.

You have gone a long way in a short amount of time. I can't wait to see future vids.

Instead of being in the 0-2 year experience (not including wrestling) division I will be in the 0-6 month no wrestling experience division. Also, instead of being 188 at the 202.5 weight class I will be weighing in on the upper end of the 170-180 weight class.

I almost feel more pressure though because I have no excuses if I lose other than I wasn't good enough. I was the underdog in this previous competition.

If you can compete at that sort of disadvantage and still put in the level of performance you did, you'll do great at this other comp, man.

Looked damn good to me. Just keep those nerves, its what keeps you on your toes.

Did you get any indication of what you need to work on after looking at the vids?

Yeah nerves are key, I want to be nervous, it just sucks getting nervous months out from a competition. I'm just trying to train hard and not think about it. Once it is the week off then I will let myself get worked up. My best lifts were also performed when I super nervous, even a bit scared.

As for working on my game -
Don't go for submissions from guard if I am not controlling the head, don't give up an easy escape (like letting the guy stand up), be more controlling in side mount, don't give up to half guard, work on my base, work on my sprawl. Don't be nice, pressure pressure pressure. Other than that I think it is merely just a matter of getting better in general. I am sure there are some things I am forgetting though.

It also can't hurt to be in better condition. I am constantly training conditioning. Pushing the pace and keeping tight is what gets you in good positions.

Yeah, i know what you mean about nerves. Im the same though, ill get nervous about things that are ages away for no reason at all. Its stupid, lol.

Thats cool though, better to have plenty of things to work on than not be sure whats going on.

I love that move you won with in the last match, that was awesome

    heh, thanks

I actually never get anyone is training with the guillotine. Those guys had a heavy wrestling background and they tend to forgot about leaving their necks exposed.

I'm dealing with the nerves pretty well, whenever I think about the competition I just make myself immediently stop thinking about it. Hard at times though.

Will you be competing in Muay Thai?

Oh right yeah, i forgot you do BJJ rather than wrestling. Thats cool, they werent expecting that sorta move

And yeah, you really gotta sort your head out sometimes. If i let all the nerves do what they wanted id never PR again, lol.

    Whens that other comp anyway?

Are you gonna be doing this regularly, then?

Id like to at some point, i think itd be a lot of fun. At the moment i've got a hell of a lot of work to do. Thats why im looking to get some equipment for over the summer.

Conditioning needs work, as does my guard (as in, i drop it far too often) and my general fight awareness (im not a fighter, im a bleeder).

My speed and power on punching and kicking are pretty good though, apparently.

    next one is June 28th.

I plan to keep it up for a while, who knows what will happen though.

keep up the MT, there will always be things to work on, even the best admit to this. Having a progression based conciousness puts you pretty far ahead.

Nice work Fufu. I'm glad to see you took advantage of the opportunity to compete in that tournament. Keep up the hard work.

i wanted to know about krav maga, how is it?

anyway well unlike danny i know what im doing did it for about 6 years so......... you looked good especially for 3 1/2 months. somethings i saw will come with experience like take downs but you wont really get extrmely impressive takedowns with BJJ alone. i could tell you were amped up and nervous (jumping off the ground in video 2 i think) but it was out of your weight and your first comp. i would have to say i am impressed!!! only place to go is up!! then you can go too abu dhabi!!! lol

    thanks dewds...

takedowns aren't my thing at the moment, we don't train them too much. I was waiting for the other guy to try to go for a takedown, I didn't want to try to out wrestler these guys on the feet.
