Didn't preorder, didn't even know it was coming out.
I'm not much of a gamer anymore, but for GTA, you know I'll be purchasing it. Thanks for the heads up. |

I'll probably get it in a year or two, I'm not one of those need it now types.... I didn't get God of War until first of 2007, probably won't get II until the end of this year.... Only games I ever got within the first few month's after release were the Splinter Cell games....
"We are like tenant farmers chopping down the fence around our house for fuel when we should be using Natures inexhaustible sources of energy — sun, wind and tide. ... I'd put my money on the sun and solar energy. What a source of power! I hope we don't have to wait until oil and coal run out before we tackle that."

Ditto. The prices of these newer vid game consoles are a little crazy. Ive never spent over $300.

I honestly never even beat San Andreas. I really enjoyed Vice City, it was the perfect city size-wise, and everything. I found San Andreas too big, and as weird as it sounds too much to do, also the missions seemed to get repetitive. not a horrible game, but still only about a 7/10 in my opinion.

In the later missions, you get to do new stuff. Like fly a Hydra (think Harrier Jump-jet) and use a rocket backpack. Plus, I really liked the Tereno (voiced by James Woods) missions. |

I never ended any of them. Had a hard time finding shit, lost interest, and moved on to Bully. Which I lost interest in also.

Leaked Gameplay footage (enjoy before it's taken down)
Video GTA 4 GAMEPLAY 2 (NO SPOILER) - jeux, videos, (pas, de, spoils) - Dailymotion Share Your Videos I don't usually have a lot of time to play games, but this looks like something you can pick up, screw around, and have fun with for an hour or so. They really beefed up the realism with entertaining physics and gorgeous graphics.

Thanks, The Gentleman!
The detail in that game is unreal! In the first video you posted; After he knocks over the pole with his car (1:50), the car "bumps" as it drives over it. He knocks the broom out of the guys hand (2:40). The detail on the wheels of the motorcycle (4:30). Not to mention the shadows! And that's just from a cappy video camera. Plus, they put the car wash in, which was taken out of GTA:SA. I like how RS listens to what the players want. |

I liked Vice City the best too, although I didn't play San Andreas much. I even liked the Grand Theft Auto for Playstation with the arial view it was frickin hilarious. I could only beat the PS2 ones with the weapon, life and keep the cops off my ass cheats.

Running over pedestrians and having them fly/bounce off the windshield Getting drunk in-game (your controls suck and the character starts falling everywhere and drives erraticly) Getting jumped by fat bikers after pushing one off his bike as he parked Shoot a guy in the leg or groin and he reacts realistically (funny physics again) ...and the best happened to be a clip of the character getting into a fight with a few guys who were shooting dice on a street corner. As the character is beating the shit out of one guy who's in the fetal position on the ground a cop walks by, sees the character, busts out his gun and tells the character to put his hands up. The character complies and as the cop approaches to cuff him, the character bursts into a full blown sprint like something you'd see in Cops. All real-time gameplay. I'm going to stop looking at these videos now and just wait the 6 days for the game. The game really looks like a cinematic piece of art and has persuaded me to pick up gaming again. Doing a little bit of research, I found out this GTA has online for up to 16 players with some pretty innovative match types like Cops & Robbers, Car Boosting, Free-play, Racing, and Deathmatches. Imagine the kind of havoc you can wreak . The violence critics say these kinds of games turn people into violent psycopaths. Games don't make psycopaths, they just make us more creative.
