To me, if you aint shooting IDPA, you aint shooting...

In IDPA, as long as 50% or less of your body is showing and no legs can be seen, you are good to go.

I do, and they are posted all over this forum or check my youtube page, but they are not shooting related. I will be doing more shooting related vids as I compete over the season.

oh i know that..i didn't explain it right. Shoot a two handed grip but switch back and forth between your dominate and non dominate hand HAHA this isn't the movies..no one shoots like that and wins matches.

HAHA AND I LIKE THE "IF YOU'RE NOT SHOOTING IDPA" COMMENT...because it's so true. Not that I knock other kinds of pistol comps and the other "exhibitions" but i feel idpa is more realistic.

Whatever floats your boat as long as you're shooting.

I train for practical scenarios at my club, but I do competitions just for fun. Just can't get any more fun than steel and cowboy.

P.S. You seem to have your finger on the pulse of the shooting world more than most, any word on how the D.C. gun ban case is going in the SCOTUS? I know a verdict isn't expected until June, just wondering if you've heard any scuttlebut.

Rules? You mean we have RULES for that???

The general rumor is that the majority will vote in favor of 2A as being an individual right vs a collective one. How exactly that will play out on the DC law, I don't know exactly, but banning all handguns is not "reasonable" restriction by any stretch....a major victory for freedom and liberty is at hand I hope.

You've got the law wrong. The DC law is a ban on all operable arms. You can keep a rifle or shotgun in your home so long as it is inoperable at all times, i.e. disassembled or locked up. Even if you had time to start assembling your gun when an intruder broke into your home, the moment it was functional you would be committing a felony.

I'll bet the portion where it states "and bear arms" will be interpreted to mean that the weapon must be in a functional state.

I don't have it wrong, I just focused on one part of it, which is a total ban on handguns. The actual regs are:

"The Act, which required that firearms kept at home be rendered useless for protection by being “unloaded, disassembled, or bound by a trigger lock or similar device.” It required that all privately owned firearms be registered, and prohibited possession of a handgun not registered with city police prior to Sept. 24, 1976, and re-registered by Feb. 5, 1977."

Neither regs are Const., but DC has always considered itself it's own little country and above the Const.

Cause in our nighttime qualifying, we use flashing blue light from the patrol cars.
Next, is flashing blue light and flashlight.
Then Flashing blue lights, headlights and flashlight if wanted.
Usually I don't even need a flashlight at all. Instinctive shooting is good to practice and amazingly accurate.

No idea what their thinking is on color of lights for that stage. It's mostly just to confuse and disorient, so color is probably not a focus. As an LEO, blue is the color you would be seeing.

Yeah, mainly it is trying to match real world situation/low light at night to get you used to shooting more instinctly than trying to use sights when you can't see them.
