Gazhole Radio Beta 1
BODYBUILDING SUPPLEMENTS High Quality Supplements For Bodybuilders and Athletes. www.ironmaglabs.com If anybody is online and can listen to ShoutCast radio in Winamp, can you check to see if this works for me?
http://gazholeradio.no-ip.org My radio stream that im painfully trying to set up again. Im on Linux so im having to use either Liunx equivalents of Shoutcast and Winamp, or a Windows Emulator which is...iffy at best. Just trying to figure out whether it works at all, and what is easiest :P EDIT: Scratch that. Looks like my ISP has a fucking Firewall or some shite. |

Gaz: Your ISP probably blocks port 80 so people don't run web servers and services like that. What you can do is this:
iptables -t nat -A PREROUTING -p TCP -d gazholeradio.no-ip.org --dport 81 -j DNAT --to gazholeradio.no-ip.org:80 Then just give out the link as http://gazholeradio.no-ip.org:81 or you can register a domain and have it point directly to port 81 so people don't get confused. If it works nicely, just put that in /etc/sysconfig/network/iptables (That's where I like to put mine) and add an entry to rc5.d to run it on boot. |

I have no idea, K.
I'm a total Linux newbie. Currently using Kubuntu. Good skills though, Danzik! |

It's pretty easy actually once you know what it means Gaz.
iptables -t nat -A PREROUTING -p TCP -d gazholeradio.no-ip.org --dport 81 -j DNAT --to gazholeradio.no-ip.org:80 Basically that's saying as soon as a packet received, if it is destined for TCP port 81 (what we want to be public), then NAT (Network Address Translation, can be used for ports too in this instance) it to TCP port 80 (the server you're running). It's similar to port forwarding on your router, but a little different since it is occurring on the same box. Use "iptables --help" or "man iptables" to be able to find out exactly what all those flags mean. |
