Why is it that...

BODYBUILDING SUPPLEMENTS

as I've gotten older, I've been unable to sleep late into the afternoon.

In High School, I could sleep until 1-2 in the afternoon having gone to bed between 2-3 in the morning.

Last night, I didn't go to bed until 430 and for some stupid reason I'm awake before noon when I have zero obligations today and planned to sleep in.

I feel exhausted having worked all week, but I just can't sleep. My Mom was telling me the same thing happened to her as she got older and I'm really curious why.

Is there a way to stop this or is being comatosed from weed and alcohol the only way I'm going to be sleeping past noon for the rest of my life?

Neurotransmitters control our sleep. The amount of these chemical levels change as we get older. Seems like you are having a change take place now that is affecting your sleep.

Thats the explanation, but I have no solution. I take high power medication to keep myself in a healthy sleep cycle. You might consider seeing a neurologist if it becomes a big problem.

I've never needed much sleep to function properly. Right now, even though I'm yawning and feeling tired, I could get out of bed and go run a mile if I wanted to, I just feel as if sleeping would be more beneficial to me and my body won't allow it.

A neurologist it is

Yeah, I always felt that I was just fine, too. Trouble, who use to post here, was the one who convinced me to see a neurologist, and it might have been one of the best things I ever did. You don't know you are sleep deprived until you know what it feels like to be truly rested.

I don't think I've ever had problems waking up early. Ever.

Getting to sleep on the other hand... DSPS to the rescue.

what the hell is dsps? Some super breed of dutch skunk?

Because believe it or not, weed is the no#1 most effective insomnia cure in my experience - and I've tried a lot..

Good thread sox, I too get really pissed off at waking up early, when you just want to sleep through. Even worse these days that I wake up after 4-5 hours.

Great point.

I'm not going to go into detail, but I feel as if a lot of the problems I have are because I simply don't need sleep or at least my body doesn't allow me to need it.

I'm seriously thinking about going to the Neurologist soon, thanks man.

Weed helps everything it seems. A friend of mine has Crohn's disease and while he's prescribed drugs like colonopen and other shit, he swears that nothing helps as much as smoking weed.

As far as sleeping goes, some of the best nights of sleep I've gotten and as a result, some of the best workouts I've had we're because I was high the night before.

I feel like I'm heading down that path, goob. I went to bed at 430, got up around 930... 4-5 hours of sleep is just not optimal in the least.

You're in California.

A blunt before bed and you're cured.

Melatonin production decreases as you get older, as does the body's need for sleep.

Also, meditation and controlled breathing exercises throughout the day do quite alot to prepare your body for sleep come night time. If you do them consistantly for a bit you'll be wishing you started earlier.

Wait till you get my age.

I have a late night out boozing and the latest I will sleep in is 8am.

Like I care if I have a big dick, it isn't about soxmuscles satisfaction.

I know the feeling. This past weekend I went to bed at 6am, only to wake up at 9:30am Saturday and Sunday mornings.
