That guy is not funny to me. He is a good comedian, but his brand just doesn't make me laugh.

I don't know why, but he blew half of his face off with a gun.

That could be it, he just seems like he is trying too hard to be funny. I don't like comedians like Jeni, Cook, or blue collar comedy.

    Darn.

I've never heard of the guy. It seems that comedians are kind of deep. Like poets, authors, and painters.

I will google it DOMS, but why did he top himself off? Do we know why?

I've noticed that you're attracted to the likes of Carlin and Black. Old cynical guys.

For the record, I don't like Cook either.

Right on. I like the guys who are funny because they are pissed off. I am a lot like Lewis and Carlin. Its not what I say, but the tone of my voice when I say it. unfortunately, my humor doesn't translate in the written word.

I also noticed that you're running low on toilet paper.

It's not stalking unless you get caught.

Yeah, I've been known to use that same type of humor.

I have two (female) employees who are constantly babbling about Dane Cook. They recite his material verbatim over and over again.

    I wish he would dissappear.

I thought he tried a bit hard to make some lines work, but all in all he was pretty funny. I e-mailed my wife the routine about the fat bastard....I'm sure she'll love me for it.

I think Smoothy is right. Most comedians are relatively deep, intelligent, and often troubled individuals. I always think about people like Steve Martin, Robin Williams, et al. These guys are always "on"...but they've spent some time on the dark side as well.

It takes a special talent to find humor in the things most of us experience every day, but rarely give much thought.

Lewis Black said in his book that he was often troubled. He found hope in comedy. When shit is fucked up, laughter might be the only thing that can save you. If you can laugh at your situation despite how bad it is, it won't seem as bad.

Your list of people reminds me of Mitch Hedburg, Sam Kinison, Rodney Dangerfield. All people who were majorly fucked up in the head, but had a great since of humor about life and about their self.

Yeah, he suffered from clinical depression. I went hunting some other stories. Its pretty tragic. He was a really good guy. I found a lot of stuff, and everybody had nothing but good things to say about him.
