Very cool of them.
Metallica is trying to do a 180 and jump on the download bandwagon. First they suck RIAA cock and demonize online downloads, now they want to go it there own with online download. All that without an apology.

Trent did the same thing with Saul Williams on The Inevitable Rise and Liberation of NiggyTardust! You can't get it free anymore as it was the first 100,000, I put $20 down just for support purposes, I think this is how bands will have to do it, release their music free and then become great live acts again instead of the mediocrity that I've seen so much in new bands live shows....
