Well, most people I know older than college-aged do not drink to get drunk. I think the article may be saying that those who drink more than two drinks per day on average or four per occassion is a binge drinker, and I agree. Seriously, if you average more than two drinks per day, then you do have a drinking problem (why the hell does anyone need to drink that much?).
I used to play this game with one of my ex-girlfriends where we would have sex twice a day. On days we'd only have sex once, we'd have to have sex three times the next day. When we got in fights, we had to make up by having sex four times the next day. It was pretty hard to maintain, even with a high libido. The point being, to average two drinks a day, you have to drink 14 drinks a week. So if you only go out once, 14 drinks for that one night. Twice a week, then seven drinks each time. And if you are drinking more than four times in one occassion, you are probably drinking to get drunk.
