The reason I love this Republican primary

yeah I know the title is kinda misleading, but I'm on this whole "parody of other thread titles" thing

Both parties, and all candidates are buffoons, IMO.

As for the GOP, if you look at GWB, and now McCain, it shows that the party cannot seem to get good competent candidates in the race.

(I've always like Sen. Chuck Hagel (R), Nebraska.)

The Dems and Repubs have a monopoly on power, as 3rd parties are basically allowed into the system because of the way the rules are set up.

Does it matter which candidate or party wins this November? Symbolically it will mean something to some people.

But don't expect "change." It's not allowed.

Eh I'm not surprised. Politicians on both sides of the line haven't gotten it into the pile of rocks that they call a brain that we have something called the internet and all of their past speeches and interviews are cataloged and search-able.

I think "change" was deemed unconstitutional in the same piece of legislation the did away with the writ of habeas corpus.

^DOMS should be your Secretary of Defense. That way he will finally have the power to go after Mexicans and other illegal aliens. Just watch, after DOMS clears out the country, our economy will do a complete 180.

As for the Repblican party, I stoppped voting GOP in 1996 when Bob Dole was nominated to run for GOP President.

Token tax cuts, and "we'll make spending cuts later." Yeah, right.

Let's just run up the National Debt, and the annual interest on that debt that needs to be paid.

I vote Libertarian.

The GOP long ago, lost its way, from the 1994 Republicans.

The Republican party is a completely different party today.

I agree. I'm much more of a classical conservative anyways - not a compassionate (religious) conservative. I really think the republicans and democrats are the same super party since they don't really seem to do a lot of things that are different from one another. I think democrats might be better at hiding their screw ups than republicans, but they do definitely happen.

I guess I am kind of a log cabin republican, though I argue that we (gays) had to fight for everything we have and I therefore love the pride parades. I am also demanding the same marriage rights and responsibilities that are granted to straight couples (the good and the bad)!!
