    Sex and the City

I was talking w a friend yesterday and we both saw the movie the night before. He mentioned a point that made me think.
Sure it was a cute show and movie, I guess.......but think of all of the millions of young girls that see it, its encouraging them to be really materialistic and premiscuous (not sure how to spell that)
    What does everyone else think?

I would never watch that movie but if it teaches girls to be little sluts, I am all for it.

@ OP: Seriously though, no movie 'teaches' girls to be promiscuous or materialistic. It's their own damn choice.

To all those socialist whiners who avoid responsiblity for their actions, I'd like to say:
    It's not Prada's fault you're a spoiled bitch.
    It's not McDonald's fault you're a fatass.
    It's not MTV's fault you're a slut.
    It's not FHM's fault you're a skeleton.

Actually, the show is a reflection of our culture. Most women are already like the women in that show. The four women a damn near perfect representations of the primary personality archetypes. Sad, but true.

So who is your favorite character and how do you know so much about this show, my girlfriend doesn't even watch that shit?
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

It's because she's Japanese. She's probably more into Japanese game shows and will be hooked on this new show that is airing soon, I Survived a Japanese Game Show Premieres in June… | Reality TV Magazine

Hey, that's what I normally do!

Honestly, I could never stand that show and I am gay. I have nothing against those girls, I'm just much more masculine than that, so I guess I should take his mancard from him and keep it for myself.

I will say that is is very nice to see that people like Sara Jessica Parker can still find work, and that the robot....er.....I mean Kim Cattrall....is still running fine after all these years.

I dont think young girls are eagerly watching a show/movie about 40+ old women and decide to act out like them. Aren't most of those impressionable kiddos idolizing Mylie whatever and Brittney whoever?

They were sluts moreso in the show than the movie, they were all in serious relationships in the movie.

Kim Cattrall playing Samantha Jones was my favorite. I actually torrented the entire SitC show from the first to last episode. I was listening to some David DeAngillo material and they said that it would help you understand women better by watching the show. I think it has in some ways.
