Reply With QuoteGore is just jumping on the Green Bandwagon, everywhere I go there is Green this, Eco-Friendly that. New EarthMuffins sprout everyday and I deal with their "Why isn't solar electricity free yet" mentality regularly. What is becoming very damaging are the increasing numbers of guys who are installing systems but don't have the first clue of how to do it properly. They throw hack jobs up on peoples' roofs and then they end up calling us to complain that their system is crap or not producing enough power because the installer didn't orient them toward the sun right. A lot of these guys by cheap crap from the internet because so many fly-by-night solar equipment manufacturers have sprung up especially in China and then people assume that they got the stuff through us because we are the main distributor for solar products in the Islands. I waste so much time per day trying to help people troubleshoot their crap systems. Then there's all of the tech shows on TV talking about the paint on solar and solar shingles and all the other "great" shit that are barely in the experimental phase and people call or come in all excited wondering why we don't sell it yet.....drives me nuts...
