Question Your screen size and resolution?

just curious what people are using these days as I recently purchased a 22" wide screen for my computer (could not resist at only $229) and I have it in 1600 x 900 resolution.

back in the day everyone was using the standard 14"-15" square screen at 800 x 600 resolution, today it's all over the board.

    well?

    I have a 21" LCD with a 2ms response time. The resolution is 1680x1050.

Prince, if you have a video card and monitor with DVI connectors, you should use a DVI cable and not a VGA.

No doubt, but I would have to get a new video card, my onboard is only VGA.

Mine at work here is 17" LCD and I use 1600x1200 because I like to hide my calculator and other stuff to the side and then scroll the screen over quickly to grab it, I can also customize my windows that way...

At home I have a 24" LCD I use the highest possible resolution on not sure what it is though???? I plan on moving my other 24" into the room and setting it on the entertainment center and running a second PC on it as a Media Center only......

I don't know why they do that instead of one large screen with several windows spread across it????

The guy that trades using that setup must be trading the FOREX. I did some work for a mutual fund company, and the most monitors that I saw at one desk were five, plus two teevees.

I think it's easier, especially in Windows, to manage many monitors rather than many windows.
