How to get a new DMV id

OK I recently had my Drivers license confiscated by a cop, that was my only form of Id I had. I lost my birth certificate and SSN card years ago. How the hell can I get a new govt ID now?

I think that the SS card may be your best bet. I think that you can provide proof of identity with piece of mail and a credit card. It's probably going to be the easiest one to get.

Why did the cop take your drivers license?
So many cries of inequality stem from one of group
of people doing little or nothing and then bitching
about another group that actually does something
    to improve their lives.

Its a long story. I have a restricted license at the moment, but because I haven't got the proper insurance DMV suspended my license and didn't tell me. Last weekend I was visiting my hometown and I got shitty drunk so I let my friend drive my car and sure enough we get pulled over and they ask for my id then they tell me that its suspended so the take it. So they take my only ID and give me a drunk in public, along with a few other things. (fuckin ass holes).

Drunk in public while your friend was driving you home? I'd challenge it.

On topic, your SSN card will probably be the easiest to get. Call the appropriate offices to see what you need to get an SS card and your birth certificate. Go for the easier one.

Thats only half the story there, I cant go in to detail about what else happened till after court. I defiantly got a lawyer and he sead its all bull shit. I was in the car until they pulled me out and they never gave me a sobriety test or a Breathalyzer or any thing. My friend past all the field sobriety test and they still gave him a DWI. They also searched my car and tore the shit out of it. They took me to jail, towed my car, and charged me out the ass with some BS. It cost me 325$ to get my car out of impound 2000$ for my lawyer and I'm facing a felony charge now for some other shit he planted on me. I'm already on probation for a DUI I got a few months ago and have 90 days suspended jail time over my head.
