Neither candidate can engage a casual conversation. You can almost see the wheels turning in their political noggins before each response.
Even though I'm not enthused about either of them, I must say that Obama is indeed the smoother talker, while McCain does seem to have the potential to loose his cool easily..."knock off the old guy jokes, okay?" I think they both did pretty well. I have to admit I watched the Mccain one just to see the old man blubber and see those political cogs start going but I think they both seemed... well, human. That's clearly what they were going for, talking about sports for 8 minutes straight, but I think they pulled it off. Mccain seemed a bit more nervous at first, and I got this feel that Obama felt pressured to be "black" or at least "hip." Still, I don't see Bush able to do what those two just did
