Blackhole = racist term

SciGuy: Is "black hole" a racially insensitive term?

Quote:
A special meeting about Dallas County traffic tickets turned tense and bizarre this afternoon.

County commissioners were discussing problems with the central collections office that is used to process traffic ticket payments and handle other paperwork normally done by the JP Courts.

Commissioner Kenneth Mayfield, who is white, said it seemed that central collections "has become a black hole" because paperwork reportedly has become lost in the office.

Commissioner John Wiley Price, who is black, interrupted him with a loud "Excuse me!" He then corrected his colleague, saying the office has become a "white hole."

That prompted Judge Thomas Jones, who is black, to demand an apology from Mayfield for his racially insensitive analogy.

Mayfield shot back that it was a figure of speech and a science term.

Yet again, another example of how blacks promote racism.

Technically, Black is the presence of all colors.....at least with crayons.

This has nothing to do with black holes, but I've ingested a gallon of coffee and am experiencing racing thoughts.

I don't drink my coffee Black......does this mean I'm a racist?

Technically, mixing crayons to explain light is not very technical.

In reality, black is the absense of all color.

White light is the combination of the 3 primary colors of light (Red, Blue and Green)

Crayola used to have a color called "flesh." It was a shade of pink. Some blacks complained and Crayola renamed it.

In a computer, when you had two hard drives, one was termed "master" and the other was termed "slave". Some bureaucrat in LA made a stink about it being racist. Now they're referred to as primary and secondary.

I'm so close to replacing the word "black", as it relates to skin color, in my daily word usage with the word "nigger." I'm really starting to get that pissed.

Master / Slave shouldn't have any racial connotations at all. Throughout history, lots of civilizations had slaves and they have been of pretty much every color.

The Black plague.
Black sheep.
Black Monday.

I know I missed a few, are there anymore to add.

Kind of sucks when everything associated with the word black is used negatively

Yea. Some of them are just fucking stupid cunts going off over nothing. On the other hand I feel horrible for the ones who've actually had to go through it.

Black is not the absence of color it's the absence of reflected light, it's absorbing all of the colors so therefore it contains all colored photons just like when mixing crayons.....the black contains all pigments.....and white reflects all of them so therefore a white crayon and white reflected material are the absence of color....

In reference to light, yes black is the absence of all colors....which is why I said, "at least with crayons"

....it was levity, Neil. Quit being such a sexual intellectual.....and quit stalking me.

In a sense isn't color just reflected light at specific wavelengths?
