I had to use the Windows System restore feature to get back on the net.

Or better yet, get a decent firewall.

I installed ZA without that windows update, and it wouldnt let my PC boot up. It got to loading ZA and crashed immediately.

Bearing in mind i have 1GB RAM, and a 2.4ghz Dual Core AMD CPU, so the PC wasnt struggling with it. Its just Zone Alarm is a shit piece of software now.

Used to be fantastic, but its just a resource hog, and inefficient. I use Comodo now, and its free, easier, works just as well, and doesnt crash my PC/Stop me getting on the net.

Took me about an hour to fix my sister's laptop yesterday because of this stupid bug though. Figured out it was ZA in the end, but i didnt know it was a global problem :-S

I let my Belkin Wireless G Plus MIMO handle that, but I use AirSnare to watch who's trying to access my network...

It's not AVG that's the problem, it's MS trying to shove their products down our throats.

My homepage used to be Google up until I updated IE, now it's that crap IE Get It Now that won't delete as my new forced homepage.

ZA is a fuckload of shit. It fucks with sooo many internet applications. I got rid of that disease recently.

I had issues with ZA when i downloaded an updated a while back. I ditched it for ashampoo.

i've used za for years n like it. i had the can't get on the internets things a couple times but resolved it. i know the program so well it's easier to fix a bug than learn how to use another. za has a few advantages i haven't seen on others but then again i haven't tried many. za keeps my secrets pretty well.

My boyfriends laptop got hit with this. I just uninstalled the service pack and changed it to notify instead of automatic download.
