Sure, there are many people who are waiting for some sort of revolution or uprising. I have never met anyone who is preparing for war, but I am certain they exist and they are a small minority within the community of gun owners. I do know people who carry guns for protection, and the bullet that offers the most protection is a hollow point.
Yeah well... bite me

Who do you think you are going to go to war against? The US government? Good luck, you will need more than hollow point bullets... your neighbors? Terrorists?

It just doesn't make sense to think you need to prepare for war in my opinion. I don't see the point.

PRICELESS. You're about as educated on the subject as this idiot
YouTube Video

YouTube - What is a barrel shroud?

I like how she also calls a magazine a clip, which is an entirely different thing. Typical idiot liberal view. A barrel shroud is a piece of metal that covers the barrel so you don't burn yourself on it after it's been fired. It has no functionality what-so-ever as far as enhancing the weapons firing. What a moron. "What most gangs and criminals were using". Semi-automatic rifles (called assault rifles by liberals) are used in less than 1% of all firearm related crimes. Good call.

Do some background research on the original intentions behind the second amendment. War against the government is exactly what the second amendment seeks to preserve so that our populace can't simply be pushed around by force.

So, in other words, his point is hollow?

Really? A network of like 12000 Al-Qaida terrorists is able to hold a sustained conflict with us through guerilla tactics.

Now what do you think 100 million armed Americans could do?

Well, let's see.

All of the Good Old Boys/Rednecks/KKK members/Skinheads and generic biggots would shoot most of the black folks.

The remaining brothers, the semi-intelligent militant ones no doubt, would go after the asians...because stuff flows down hill, y'know.

The gang banga's (and Danny) would shoot each other over sneakers, jackets, colors and turf..

Homophobes would crank a few anti-gay rounds into the air, and

Homosexuals would raise hell because the homophobes weren't properly dressed to go Gay hunting. those porrly acessorized bassssstherds!

Democrats would try to take away the Republican's guns, and

Republicans would squirt the Democrats with water pistols filled with sweet crude oil.....because Dick said they could.

and the list goes on and on and on....

Miss South Carolina and DOMS would be the only survivors........God Bless America.

Ammo is expensive and or scarce due to war, costs of copper going up, costs of fuel going up, etc. I would ask them why they are so low. Stores I go to are well stocked (and I live in one of the most anti gun states in the nation) but prices are WAY up.

Top of my head, NJ bans them, and no, they are LESS likely to go through vests in fact.

Do you really think there is enough organization, desire and agreement amoung that many Americans to start an uprising?

People are too caught up in their lives and watching tv... hell we can't get anywhere near that to vote, let alone take up arms :P

irrelevant. People do what they have to do when they have to do it, or they die. History is full of examples on both ends. The effects of guns in the hands of law abiding citizens and it's effects on crime rates has been covered many times on this forum. Try a search. Unless you are also an expert in urban and Guerrilla warfare /unconventional warfare, save us your opinions on the issue on what armed people can or can't do against a larger/superior force.

Paranoid nonsense.

He was only making an argument as to the probability of Americans forming an alliance.

You guys act like we're on the verge of an invasion.

Half of our enemies would rather get the chance to go to McDonalds or play on a wii.

Fucking Christ. No offense, but that is a fucking ridiculous thing to ask. You might as well have just asked whether red cars go faster than blue ones.

This is why we end up with all these retarded gun laws. If the people who made our traffic laws were as uninformed as the people who make our gun laws, they would ban spoilers and chrome grills in order to reduce crashes.

I never held a gun in my life, it never interested me before.

It was a just a simple question. So relax.

Dear lord, ask a simple question and all of the sudden I am writing laws.

I know this isn't a gun forum but a bodybuilding forum, where I learned a lot of new things a corrected a lot of old things.

We both don't know anything about guns, haveing never laid our hands on them.
I learned a bit about guns and how passionate you gun lovers are.
I have nothing against guns, my other half hates them.

But the shitty way you people act when it comes to guns is a bit scary..........

You lost my support, I will run for congress and make sure we revamp the Brady bill....fuck that, make it the Min0 bill and ban all guns.

As with any other cause, those who act like jackasses do more harm than good.

Clemson, you'll make a good lawyer one day......because you've almost got the pompous thing under control.

I'd like to think I'm reading you wrong, but I doubt it.

Mino, unfortunately every single group has their assholes. and it is usually those assholes who ruin it for everyone else. despite our best efforts to keep them locked away in the closet they still find a way to the front. it is the reason im not a member of the NRA. Dont hold that against us. try it, before you knock it.

Come to think of it, the Christian right is the same way.
