Sure, there are many people who are waiting for some sort of revolution or uprising. I have never met anyone who is preparing for war, but I am certain they exist and they are a small minority within the community of gun owners. best saying i have ever heard pray for peace prepare for war. i come from a all military background having guns around is what i am used to. i also like to shoot, hunt, fish. if some thing were to happen i like to know that in a pinch i can protect my family by any means. to each his own, and i dont look down on any one that does not worry bout the same things i do. i look at the way the economy is going a steady decline. look at how bad shit has gotten in the past. why not be prepaired if need be?

Who do you think you are going to go to war against? The US government? Good luck, you will need more than hollow point bullets... your neighbors? Terrorists?

The effects of guns in the hands of law abiding citizens and it's effects on crime rates has been covered many times on this forum. Try a search.
