this year's E3 blew chunks. All three major companies half assed it this year, and E3's been going down for years. This year was kinda like watching three classmates who forgot their homework was due the next day. I grudgingly admit that Sony probably came off best this year, but had they put in this kinda work previous years everyone would have been asking why they didn't even try. Microsoft only introduced a few sequels and a remake of the 360 interface, basically just introducing Microsoft versions of Wii's Mii's. Which means anyone that ever bought a "theme" for their 360 will have wasted their money. Nintendo did absolutely nothing this year, nada. Which was a huge disappointment for everyone. Every article I've read says that everyone left the Nintendo conference with a huge sigh, wondering when the hell Nintendo was going to introduce some exciting titles.

And sorry to tell ya guys, but the E3 babes have been gone for several years now. E3 these days has become very barebones. It's not even considered a high point in conventions these days. PAX is actually the best you'll get, and I don't even know if they have booth babes.

I actually like the new 360 interface. The game show channel looks pretty good, too. Gears 2 looks awesome.

The Nintendo one was so disappointing that I finally sold my Wii (or as I called it, my Mario Galaxy Machine) on Ebay.

Sony's has some cool things on the horizon. God of War III is going to be amazing. I've been playing through II again... that's a great series.

wow, I was disappointed by Nintendo but I wouldn't go so far as to sell my Wii. Super Smash Bros. Brawl alone is reason to keep the system on the shelf. That and Okami keep getting swapped out by the gf and myself. Though I admit I haven't really used the system for anything else.

It's really discouraging that Nintendo has had the same system failing problems with the N64, the Gamecube, and now the it seems the Wii. Too few games in-between stellar first party games (the Zelda's, the Mario's, etc.). And even those I'm getting tired of (I haven't played the new Zelda or Mario, and as much as I know I would love Zelda I just don't see myself having the time or commitment to it).

And this uber-cuteness/kiddy thing has got to end. I have always been a quality first person, even if the shell is kiddy. But something has got to give, particularly this whole "friend code" crap to play online. You think if Brawl was on the 360 they'd half-ass the online by making you have to have codes to actually play with people? And even then you can't talk to anyone! This reason alone has kept me from even bothering to play anything online with the Wii, and is such an insult I too, occasionally, want to fling my Wii up Nintendo's kiddy ass.
