Music you're into at the moment?

I dont know about anybody else but my current pc playlist/mp3 player playlist/car cd/home cd/radio station is always changing and updating with new music, or as i get a sudden desire to rediscover some music i havent heard in a while.

It seems to go in phases that somehow logically connect to an artist/band i was listening to before, rather than listening to genre X when im in X mood, or genre Y when im in Y mood.

The point is, its always changing for some reason. Just wondering if anybody else finds thins happens to them?

    Whats everybody listening to lately?

I usually keep my current tastes updated on my online mixtape: beachedfail.muxtape.com

My mood can change from alt rock to opera to classical to heavy metal to Irish Celtic back to opera to classic rock back to metal and on and on. This can happen in the time frame of one day.

Dude, i was on a major Static-X spree the other day. Me and a few friends had a huge conversation about starting a band with them as a direct influence. They're awesome.

    Favourite albums/songs?

Haha, yeah. I do that sometimes.

Today i've listened to Infected Mushroom (Psytrance), Nile (Death Metal), Johan Koskela (80's Space Synth), then to Disturbed (Hard Rock).

I generally flit back and forth between electronic music, guitar based music, orchestral music, and back again. It's weird how metal can make me want to listen to Rite of Spring but it happens a lot.

Push it is my all time favorite. Bled for days comes in second with destroyer coming in third mainly because it is newer.

Push It is old school, lol. I like how they've changed enough from the first album to Machine then to the newer ones to keep it interesting, but still heavy as hell.

Cannibal is a great album, which surprised me because for some reason i had a feeling itd be bad after how good the previous two were.

it's kind of weird but I am into old Beastie Boys right now, along with the new Offspring album, and one of their old albums, Smash.

I couldn't find the video for Hammerhead, but this is the song.

and here's some of the old Offspring from their album Smash, again not the actual video but the real song.

I used to like the offspring, i kinda got out of that whole "punk rock" thing, though. I was already too into nu metal at the time :P.

One of my friends did a remix of a Beastie Boys song with a Dream Theater song. Anybody want to hear?

Devo and the Reverend Horton Heat? Don't ask me why...

Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012
