He's just another political ho, same as McCain.
Ron Paul really is the best option.

Another one for you.
Obama Flips on Space Exploration | Election Geek Blog 2008 Election News 24/7
The Houston Chronicle has a story on the “evolving” position of Senator Obama on Space Exploration that looks more like a complete “flip” than a slow progression in plans to me. Previously the Senator had been against extending the soon to be retired shuttle fleet to one more flight, opposed a Congressional plan to add $2 Billion to NASA’s budget, had stated he would delay the development of the shuttle’s successor throughout his presidency in order to fund early childhood education and had previously told the Chronicle he “was not convinced that human exploration was worth the cost.”
Now Obama has changed his position on all of these positions. Why the sudden change? While there is no real explanation as of yet can anyone say FLORIDA? The RNC can:
“Obama’s shifting stance on space exploration is indicative of his inexperience on issues important to voters,” said Republican National Committee spokesman Alex Conant. “Let’s be honest: Obama is only embracing NASA now because of his political problems in Florida.”
He's just another political ho, same as McCain.
Ron Paul really is the best option.
Ron Paul isn't even running anymore, but I'd write him in if I thought it would do us any good. McCain, a guy that graduated 894th in a class of 899 at the Naval Academy at Annapolis, has a list of political and leadership parallels to BushCo that is endless, so ... Obama seems like the only choice to avoid another 4 years of BushCo. It will get really ripe around here if Hitlery gets the VP nod from his camp.
Ron Paul is a unicorn. meaning he is magical from a distance, but when you get close he disappears. I personally think Mitt Romney is the guy for the job. yet i understand he is not electable. So when the choice is McCain or Obama you are not going to hear me mention a guys name who wasn't able to step to the plate.![]()
I would love to see something compelling about Obama. I want change as much as the next guy. I would love to see someone with vision come and take the reins and say this is my plan for the US and this is how we are going to prosper. I have seen nothing of substance from Obama that says this. And im looking for it.
Closing the borders, ending the trade and employment disparities that NAFTA has created, pulling out of the oil wars, and reducing government back to its mandated size are key issues that ALL Republicans should be looking at here. I don't agree with everything Ron Paul says, but he does pick my key issues.
Check out ontheissues.org and see where you sit with McCain's ideology. You can spend hours there getting edumacated on who stands where, how your candidate voted in the past, and what is likely to be the vote for your candidate on any given issue in the near future.
Im sorry did Ron Paul get on anyone's ticket anywhere? If the guy appeals to people then he would get $$$ donations. and if he isn't getting the donations yet people want him then they only have themselves to blame. Elections are about money. You show your support with it. Ron Paul may vote exactly like you want him to, but he never could get a campaign off the ground because he doesn't have a prayer.
Do I give huge financial donations to political people? No, but I did give a little to Ron Paul's candidacy just for my own principals of standing. I put my money where my mouth is. How much money have YOU donated to your candidate of choice? None prolly since most Americans don't. It's the corp's that fund the politicians. The money that he has used to get on the ballot has mostly come from the same guys that backed BushCo.
It was big oil money that put Bush in power. He lost the popular vote in 2000, yet won the election. Now, after record oil profits, They (big oil) back McCain. Bust out your abacus and do the math ... see why the money is not behind Ron Paul? Even though he is somewhat pro drilling in Alaska, he is not pro-oil or pro-war so he is not on any ballot as the Republican party candidate.
McCain is all about oil as he has shown us by voting NO in Jun 2005 on reducing oil usage by 40% by 2025 (instead of 5%), and by being clear that he wants to end the moratorium on offshore drilling, and that he has just shy of double the PAC money over Obama from the oil corp's. Now toss in that he sees no need to end this war and you see that he is indeed another BushCo front man awaiting his turn in line.
But hey, that's just my opinion ... and I could be wrong.

I am disappointed once again.
I used to do drugs. I still do drugs. But I used to, too.

Well space exploration is what helped the US become a technological super power. The technology produced in the space race is one reason we are so bad mother fucking as s right now.
The only problem is we are no producing kids too fucking dumb to pick up were our last generation left off. Therefor, other countries are pickign up where we left off, and that is bad news for us. I don't want my new technological innovations created by foreigners. I want them created by us.
Therefor, we have to spend more time and effort educating our people. When I was in college, all of the harder majors were dominated by foreigners. Math, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering, ect were all dominated by Asians, and Middle Easterners. There is no fucking excuse for our educational institutions to have Engineering departments that are 80% international students, and usually less than 20% Americans other than shit ass pathetic public schools and lazy kids.
We are in deep shit my friends. Fund education before it is too late.
I used to do drugs. I still do drugs. But I used to, too.
I agree with 99.8% of this.... my only question is this:
How is funding education going to help this situation?
The harder majors will still be dominated by foreigners, simply because they are harder. Most Americans don't want to do something when it's hard.
I'm not slamming education funding, I just think it depends a hell of a lot more on the individual actually wanting to learn than any governmental program.
yes, and no. we still have the greatest higher education schools in the world. that is why the foreigners come here. great technological inovation still comes from america and american companies. I do see your point of there being dumb ass americans. (danny) but we stilll hold our own as well. You, me, clemson, and many others on this site are pretty damn intelligent in my line of thinking. (I only used these examples because we are all college age) many others on this site are very intelligent. We also have a society that rewards independent thinking. not really a known trait of many other nations and cultures.
whoa, slow down there chicken little. lets not let facts get in the way of a good story. Both McCain and Obama have accepted money from big oil. And when we use the term big oil lets remember that oil companies (and all corporations) are barred from making donations to candidates. It is those individuals who support big oil who are making donations to both sides. And while McCain has received more donations from big oil than Obama has, Obama has a much larger war chest than McCain. So lets chill out with the whole big oil is ruining our lives bull shit. damn, your whole post is just rhetoric. did you copy and paste this off of some IloveObama.com website or something? Think for yourself.
I have yet to choose a candidate that i can totally back so I have yet to make a donation on the federal level. All of my donations have been on the local level.

He had one of the largest warchests in the Republican race dude. He did as poorly as he did because he got no coverage. Go back and watch the old debates, RP got 1/4 the airtime of any other candidate.
That and I don't want to sound like a conspiracy guy, but he really did get shafted in the primaries. For example in one NY subdivision, voting officials were telling people that RP had dropped out of the race and not to vote for him, which was blatantly not true. This is all documented by the way. I feel that those voting officials should have been sent to jail for that, it should constitute treason to affect the outcome of a public vote like that. That goes for any candidate, not just RP.
