Second time I have called the police this year, again no one showed up.

For the second time this year, I called the police. I was in a hit and run accident. I pulled over and called the police, and they said I could wait and it would be about 4 hours, or I could go home.

What the fuck do I pay taxes for again? Seriously, this is fucking bullshit. The last time I called the police was in January, and we waited for over three hours and no one ever came.

They sure don't have a shortage of speed traps though. After all, why help people when you can generate some serious revenue. Protect and Serve, right?

    Damn man...

Have you pissed them off or something, because thats bullshit.

What was the call in January for?

This reminds me of that news story about that woman who called the cops and the operator laughed at her or something. I forget stuff at 1am.

4 hours? Shit a hit and run would get at least 6 squad cars and 2 motorcycle cops around here..... I remember a retard rode some guys moped to the corner and came back with it but the dude called the cops anyway. 12 cops showed up, about 6 squad cars and 4 cops on bikes. They ended up convincing the guy that it would be a waste of time to charge the retard because the case would get tossed out....Of course when some guy was telling people in the hotel lobby across from where I worked that he had a gun only 2 cops showed up....so the more serious things get the less cops you get here....

Next time tell them they have serious injuries. At least you might get one then.

I am going to side with clemson on this. I was involved in a hit and run also. The cop took an hour to get there. Then he tried to talk me out of filing a report. I even took down the entire fucking license plate number, and the cop still didn't show any concern of ever trying to find this person. My insurance paid for it, and my insurance rate went up because of it.

I can't count how many cops I have seen risk their life and everyone else's on the road to catch a speeder, but they often don't show the same tenacity when doing the less exciting parts of their job.

I know this is only my experience and I know this is a generalization. Maybe I just have bad luck.

Where the hell do you live? I never had any problems with the police both in Philadelphia and the suburbs.

I believe you both, i mean it's bullshit that they would do that and you must have pissed them off in the past :P.

Its the same in our neck of the woods sometimes. They put all their budget into speed cameras and theres no money left to follow up reports or something stupid like that.

    priority

unfortunitly cops respond to calls by priority of emergency, if you live in a bad area and its the weekend watch the news you may be able to see why they didnt respond, and as for speed traps there are special patroll units that only work traffic, look at the car they will alot of time have something on them like DUI enforcement, SOG, SWAT,SRT,ERT and so on

i didnt mean that SWAT,SRT and so on only works traffic but alot of the time they dont answer calls so if you see a cop pass you by thats probebly why or he has another call he is responding to
