For all the news you hear that Vice President's don't do shit, I can't believe the media frenzy around this announcement.

Then again, the thought of Romney on McCain's ticket really excites me, but not to the point that I'm waiting next to my phone for a text message.

Hat's off to Obama though.. he certainly knows how to draw attention.

I personally think any pick other than Hillary gives McCain the Presidency.

If he doesn't pick Hilary then he's a fool....I heard on the radio this morning that 29% of Hilary supporters said they would vote for McCain just to spite Barry....

Fox News is reporting both Bayh & Kaine are out of the running...

Kaine, Bayh Out of Obama Veepstakes as Biden’s Stock Rises - America’s Election HQ

Looking like it will be Biden.... At this point I think Hillary is looking more likely.

Obama's campaign has not requested any financial or background information on HRC. This is necessary in the vetting process of VP.

Bayh and Kane are officially out.

    It's looks like Joe Biden.

    We'll know on Saturday night.

    Biden.

    Biden it is...
    McCain didn't waste any time.

This is good. I think McCain-Romney can definitely beat Obama-Biden. I think an Obama-Clinton ticket would have been a lock.

The more I'm reading about Biden, the more I like him on Obama's ticket... he's his own worst enemy! The Republicans are going to have a field day with all of his gaffes.

He has so-called gaffes, but not any that will stick.

The VP only matters to low-info voters for a week or two.

The VP picks by both candidates will have little affect on the election.

VP never have; they never will.

    It's only a news story.

I usually agree, and did up until today. But after more thought, I think this year the Hillary factor changed it. He didn't even vet her, even after she received 18 million votes. That really could piss her supporters off.

Similarly, if McCain took Lieberman or Ridge, that would piss a lot of people off, myself included. On the other hand, if he takes a woman that's a direct shot at Obama ignoring Hillary & could garner more woman support.

This year may be very different.

Additionally, all of polls said Democrats wanted her as the VP.

So, Hillary had 18 million votes, was the preferred VP, and he didn't even vet her. That's a problem any way you look at it.. and adds to the charge that he's arrogant.
