Question Cher for Catwoman? Depp for Riddler?

Cher for Catwoman? Depp for Riddler? - Den of Geek

Holy casting weirdness. Maybe The Telegraph has been dropping some shrooms at the UK bank holiday weekend...

    Martin Anderson
According to The UK's Telegraph, Oscar-winning singer Cher, 62, is in talks with Jonathan Nolan to play Catwoman in the follow-up to The Dark Knight, whilst movie maverick Johnny Depp is set to be The Riddler.
The Telegraph reports a studio executive as saying "Cher is Nolan's first choice to play Catwoman. He wants to her to portray her like a vamp in her twilight years...the new Catwoman will be the absolute opposite of Michelle Pfeiffer and Halle Berry's purring creations."
The new film, according to the piece, will be called The Caped Crusader and will begin principal photography in early 2009.
One-time pop sensation Cher has 'come back' often enough to make John Travolta look like the new kid on the block, reviving her pop career in the 90s with the hit song 'Believe' and re-inventing herself as an Oscar-winning actress in the 1980s, in films such as Moonstruck, The Witches Of Eastwick, Silkwood and Mask.
Depp has been a popular forum choice for the maniacal Riddler, but I dunno about this. Believe it if you can at the link below...

Angelina Jolie would make a great cat woman, if she can lose the weight from her current pregnancy.

She is a beast, I have no doubt she can lose that weight in a heartbeat - her dedication to stuff like that in unreal (and it doesn't hurt that Brad Pitt has done some serious cutting in his time).

I hope they make the riddler out to not be a joke. I'm hoping for the riddles to be sadistic SAW style. Maybe some serious mental torture for Batman/Bruce Wayne or something.

No gym for home, work out floor with 30, but is it for 20 like 30 lb when you no lift it to be for men, for 30 lbs instead? or half is 10 for 20 pounds?

Dude, I think Pitt might be a serious Riddler contender...
I actually think he may have been better at the Joker,
cause he does the quiet insane better...

I still prefer Robin williams as riddler.

I can kind of see that. Not because I can actually picture it, more because I never could have imagined Heath Ledger giving the kind of performance that he did having seen his previous movies. I guess I can't make assumptions about the type of parts an actor can play.

It takes a lot of acting for a straight guy to play such a gay role.

How about Michael J Fox on only half his MEDs, as Penguin?

He's short, he's twitchy and hyper like a weird little bird,
and he's old enough now to wear the monacle and hat and look a bit distinguished.

The best fucking riddler would be John Malkovich in my humble opinion....
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

I think Cher would make a terrible Catwoman. I am under the impression that she becomes Bruce Wayne's love interest at some point?
