Damn phones.
I broke my good cellphone the other day. Im down to using this shit backup phone. But for some reason whenever I try to send a text on it, it says "Error sending message". The phone would send texts the first day....now it won't
.
Anyone know whats wrong?

What's the make and model? Your phone may not have a hard reset, but I'll look.

BTW, a hard reset clears the non-volatile memory. I'll be like it was when you first got it.

I found the manual, here. Here are the instructions to reset your phone:
Reset settings
You can easily reset your phone to its default configuration. To
do so, proceed as follows.
1. Select the Reset settings menu option.
2. Enter the 8-digit phone password and press the OK soft key.
Note: The password is preset to “00000000”. To change this password,
refer to “Change password” on page 85
Keep in mind that this'll wipe your contacts!

I think I figured out the problem. Maybe.
Earlier today when I would send a text. The phone would say "sms center" Than I could dial a number. In the manual it says that to use text messaging on this phone I need to know the SMS center number from my provider.

I was reading online. People were talking about how when they put their SIM card into an older model phone texting wouldn't work. Maybe the SIM card from my new phone doesn't work in this old phone. But texting worked yesterday? Makes no sense to me. Im going to have to stop into the store in the next couple of days. Might at well just get a new phone all together. Originally Posted by DOMS
