Dr. Dre's twenty-year-old son, Andre Young Jr., reportedly died in his Los Angeles home this past weekend.
According to The Los Angeles Times, Young Jr. had been out Friday night (August 22) and returned home at around 5:30 a.m.
When his mother went to check on him the following morning in his bedroom around 10 a.m., he was unresponsive.
Young Jr.’s mother called 911 but their efforts to revive Young Jr. were unfruitful.
The cause of Young Jr.'s death is pending completion of a toxicology report.
Dr. Dre, who is credited with launching the careers of rappers like Eminem, Snoop Dogg and 50 Cent, has not issued a statement on his son's death.
